Stayed 1 night while traveling the US. Read reviews before pulling up and was worried, but turned out well. I'll try to clear a few things I saw in other reviews.
-Desk Service was manned when we arrived at 6 pm. Very friendly, and quickly got us checked in. Maybe showing up later he might not be as quickly available, but we were fine.
-Room came with a magnetic lock, deadbolt, and latch. That's the individual rooms and have good security, doors around the hotel are open and should probably locks but your room will be fine.
-Room was clean and came with a desk, chair, microwave, TV and wall AC.
-Parking at first felt sketchy, think it's more the area as a whole than the hotel. But it's well lit and I noticed security cameras. Car was fine of course in the morning.
The only thing that matched up with a review I saw that definitely needs work is the bathroom door, which while having a lock, didn't close all the way leaving a small crack out to the room. Fine if you're comfortable with your travel partners, but full privacy would be nice.
Bottom line, while it lacks some amenities like a breakfast and pool (which who uses anyways) it's a good room for a great price versus the nearby options. Definitely recommend for 2 people if you're just looking for a place to stay the night while...
Read moreBeggars can't be choosers! We were trapped in Colby because they shut down I-70. Was about the third place we tried to find a room. Front desk was friendly, and got us through quick even though there were about 10 people in line.
The hotel itself could use a face-lift. The carpets in the hallways are very worn and the door to our side of the building lock didn't work.
However, for the price-point you can't beat this hotel. We had hot water, heater worked great, the room was clean, etc. The TV was grainy in room 202, but we didn't worry about it because we had our tablets. And, random, the sink faucet in 202 is backward - hot right, cold left.
Also - for an extra $10 we were able to have our dog in the room if you need that. Way cheaper than most hotels in the area.
Overall - I'm glad were able to find ANY room in a town during a blizzard - we were not here for a pleasure cruise - it...
Read moreThe location was the only positive I encountered. Upon arrival stood in the lobby for 30 minutes. Pushed the page button no response. Was told where room was located also told that there is no lock so open to the public at all times. After in room someone knocking on door and running off. Service dog on alert. Can hear everything around you from coughing and TV. Looked like window on 2nd floor busted out. Had to call because the bed had dirty linens. Had to wait 45 minutes to get the linen. I didn't ask them to change it. I stripped the bed and remade it myself because there was no house keeping on at this time. I wasn't told there was...
