OK so this place was probably the worst hotel I have ever been to. It reminded me more of a motel. I don’t know why there are so many people that said the food was great. They either must be people that wrote reviews that work here because people do do that or friends and family of people who work here the food was absolutely horrible. It made me nauseous when I saw it. It reminded me of when my four-year-old niece tried to make me food. She’s sweet, but it was nasty and this food looked like it was made by a child that never learned how to cook. It was greasy and old looking the eggs were discolored and Old looking and I don’t why one of the reviews said they had bacon and sausage every day that is a lie there was just sausage it looked overcooked, which I’m not sure how you can do to pre-cooked sausages. It’s not rocket science, and most of them were hard I had to move them around to get to a couple of soft ones and it was incredibly overly greasy I thought OK since it’s me and my one year old I’ll just go and get her some apple juice. They had little to no orange juice and when I asked the maid ma’am, when is the apple juice coming she said we don’t have that here. No apple juice just orange juice , so I said OK I took a breath and I went over and decided a basic thing and any hotel is having a waffle so I made a waffle. I started to eat some of it with my daughter big mistake. It had a nasty aftertaste like the batter was old which I had never experienced in any hotel before and the only thing I can say looked really good at all in the breakfast what the bananas the bananas eat away those look great, but definitely not worth the money. It is no better here than a motel that is all just for the disgusting and horrible breakfast. Oh, and I forgot to mention the potatoes looked like baby food and mush and they were discolored and they smelled weird that’s all for the breakfast at this place were so many people said great breakfast someone I believe on a review had the nerve to say best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel, please! They must’ve never had a good home-cooked breakfast, or have been to a hotel with a good actually decent hot breakfast. This was horrible. I cannot specify that enough but again, I will say this was horrible. I paid for it so I tried to eat some of it so stupid, so stupid so incredibly stupid for that 🤦🏽♀️ should have just left and gone to McDonald’s stomachaches afterwards both of us, I would say 100 even 150% the opposite of good even decent my daughter wouldn’t even eat most of the food she spit out literally every single thing that I gave her even the waffles she ate a little because she was hungry then spit it out and made a stinky face so now I will just have to take her to McDonald’s and pay more money on top of the money. I already paid because of all of those people that said that the breakfast was great here. now going to the room. The walls looked like someone had been scraping at the bottoms and the edges they were all discolored and at the bottom and edges it looked really bad in the bathroom. There were some weird stuff on the wall. It looks kind of brown and I’m not sure what it was. I didn’t look at it for long. It was late when I got in I just went to the bed the only thing in there besides the fridge which looks nice and the microwave which looks nice , that was comfortable and I just went to sleep with my daughter, but I noticed a smell it was dusty like and it filled the air the bed though, was very comfortable, but I have felt comfortable beds from motels as well there was something wrong with the TV and when I went to charge my phone, the plug was very loose and my charger kept falling out. (Very frustrating.) The only thing that I can say was honestly good the bed and the service. The people were very friendly here that is absolutely it. I just took off two stars for the service because the cleaning as well as the food. Disgusting and horrible. and I put five stars next to location because it is right next to an Air Force base so of...
Read moreThis is an older hotel and there are a few things that could just really need an Update. However, the staff makes up for everything. Best housekeepers I’ve ever had.. Second night really loud family above me checked in and it sounded like a circus. I asked the front desk to help alleviate the situation and I don’t know what she said, but they stopped and never started again. Everyone was very helpful and it’s friendly as they could be.
My room personally was very clean and I had zero issues. The bed and pillows were so comfortable very nice headboard. And yes, The rest was outdated, but it was exceptionally clean. And I have sensory issues so I have to have everything spotless in order to function so that’s my credentials for knowing if it’s clean :-) Also, I used to work in hotel management.
I would say they probably need maintenance to do more spot checks because Two lamps has lightbulbs missing. I know that’s not a funding issue so that that should’ve been taken care of.
My TV was a little old school. I don’t believe you could get streaming on it but that’s OK. They had great cable service due to my needs. Plus the TV had a HDMI plug so if you really wanted to, you could hook up your computer and stream or do what I did and use it as a second monitor on that note there is an outlet for ethernet. I’m not sure if that matters to you. I came here for a last minute escape to get some peace and quiet to get work done. The Internet is not secured and I know that’s obvious at a hotel but it’s so unsecured that I couldn’t even get my VPN to allow me to connect I had to use my phone hotspot, which was also fine that I did that. So I didn’t try the ethernet. In the same age, I know this things matter.
I didn’t eat breakfast, but it was always fully stocked when I went down there for coffee and clean. They always had hard boiled eggs, healthy yogurt, assortment of breads and muffins juices, eggs and sausage. Oh yeah, I did have cereal three kinds of cereal. I’m being detailed because some people need to know these kind of things before they get to hotel. I do because of my invisible health issues, but I have to manage.
Oh, and their little market that most hotels have in the lobby was honestly the One of the best I’ve ever seen and I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels. It is affordable. I’ll be at hotel prices, but there’s a really good Assortment of healthy drinks, comfort drinks, milk, juices, sodas, tea I believe there’s a protein drink in there some hydrating water it was, but it was great. And my favorite they had a ice cream bin, which also had some burritos in there with some really great chip choices like they just had a great variety of everything. It was not just here’s the minimal crap that we can sell you. This is actually a place that.
I did use the laundry and my clothes were very clean. The dryer is like some super dryer, but they only have one set, but it was not an issue. Three dollars to wash and dry.
I didn’t use the pool, but I did take a look. The hot tub is closed. They have a patio very nice to sit out and it’s right on a little river with a sidewalk. It’s actually just such a good place. I mean all of the good outweighs, the bad And the bad is only that it needs to be updated a little.
It’s right next-door to miniature golf and Indian motorcycle shop. The grocery stores were within a 10 minute drive and there’s everything you possibly want within 10 minutes.
I would say this place is for a person who is trying to live below their means steering frugal, but appreciates safety, friendliness, decent amenities and overall cleanliness.
People who say their reviews that their room was bad again. I think I would recommend they hire someone just for basic maintenance and upkeep on a regular basis before the hotel becomes to extensive, even a high paid person pt could help bring this hidden gem up to par. As they say, the devil is in The detail's

Read moreThis hotel serves its purpose in providing a place to stay, and is conveniently located. For the most part, things were clean as far as linens, bedding, however overall, regardless of normal wear and tear, the carpets in rooms, hallways, and stairways were visibly and texturally not clean. General plumbing issues required the request of a plunger in one room #418 (reported to housekeeping and front desk) and the sink faucet was loose creating difficulties alternating/finding hot and cold, patchwork in tub basin; while the other room (408) had sink drainage issues due to broken popup drain assembly; as I occupied the week before. I stayed here because it was cheaper than other hotels that offer accommodation and amenities at a higher standard. Regardless, of standard, any hotel will result in upkeep based on how well occupants choose to treat the structure and amenities as a paying guest. This Choice location (like another I have stayed at in a different state) has a general sense of drawing in a lower caliber crowd along with “pets” in noticeably different states of health and cleanliness. Staff did not attempt to require guests to subdue ongoing barking whether outside or in rooms without being asked to do so. As with any place people conduct themselves according to own will and decency, while others will push the limits and conduct themselves as civilized just beyond feral. To each their own with pot smoking, vaping or cigarette smoking, I don’t want to have to smell it or walk through the lingering plume upon hotel entry ways where I too have paid to be at. That being said, I would not stay at this location again, and found the Choice hotel location across town, less conveniently located for time here, however reasonable rates were financially optimal, and the general upkeep and overall sense of security is beyond comparison from the...
