This hotel is not kid friendly. They were doing roofing construction on a weekend at 8 in the morning and failed to inform me at check in, until I chatted them to ask what all the banging noise was beginning at 8 am. Then after an 8 hour day of banging I received a call about my kids walking too loudly across the floor at 730 pm at night, yes you read that correctly. My kids weren't screaming or yelling. I was then asked to keep them quiet. When I asked why I was being called when it was not quiet hours she said she had to notify me. I checked out early, my trip was ruined. I cannot stop my kids from walking around the room. Also my kids are 4 and 7 I'm sure it was most likely me as I'm a heavier woman. In addition, when I asked her did she think it was appropriate to tell my kids to be quiet she stated that she thought as a parent I should want to know. My kids did nothing wrong . I bought my kids headphones for their tablets to make sure we weren't disturbing people. She claimed to not know we were black or that I had kids but she checked me in. I personally believe if I had of not checked out we would've had the cops called on us. This place is not kid or people of color friendly! When I complained about the roof noise it got louder. When the lady in the room complained I got a call immediately! And they couldn't relocate her cause there was no more double queen rooms. But my stay was ruined. Also when she called she didn't hear my kids . Don't stay here if you have kids or are...
Read moreThank you Rhian for actually picking up the phone on a very late saturday night! Like most fools, we thought we could do long drives but sleepiness got the best of us and we desperately needed a hotel to stay at. Most hotels from southern Denver to Northern Colorado Springs were booked up already so I had to do the next best thing and start calling around. Most calls went to a "national" line where you talk to someone from india who has no clue where you are referring to when it comes to local locations but Marriots always seem to list the actual hotel phone number. Thank you! The sweet front desk lady had one room left and put my name on it even though we were about 20 minutes away from their location. We arrived bleary eyed and tired but she greeted us with a smile and assumed it was me and said my name and said the sweetest words that our room was ready and waiting. She even allowed us to stay until 12 pm since we got in so late. The room was clean, bed was nice and firm and the pillows were full and heavenly. The location was excellent with several restaurants, Scheels, Starbucks, and a gas station very close by! I will absolutely make this place one of my favorite places to stay when I travel to or thru Colorado Springs. I love being a Marriot...
Read moreI'm sitting here at 9:15pm, I don't want to take a shower because it's really cold. The heater will never be warmer than 78F, the worst of the worst is, when it is about to get warm then it keeps blowing cool air (at 9:15pm still doing this) to keep temperature at 78F. Even I turn it completely off, it's still blowing the cool air. Had a guy come to look, nothing changed. I'm regret booking 2 nights. It's the slowest 2 days in my life. I can't wait to leave tomorrow morning.
The location is okay because Starbucks is very close. That's it. They even have one in hotel too.
Room is new and clean, that is the only good thing but being unable to control the heater is the deal breaker. I absolutely will not be back. They offered to change new room but I don't think it'll be anything different. It's just the whole system setting up.
I even leave the heater on and went outside hoping I will be back in a warm cozy room. Nope, room was 71F, it will never get warm because the cold air will not stop from coming out. I have never seen a...
