What a great experience my husband and I had with our first time shopping at Scheel's on Tuesday, October 29th! Upon entering the Colorado Springs location we were greeted with smiles by the ladies working at the checkout registers. The store is huge, clean, and really cool with a giant aquarium just beyond the entrance, a working Ferris wheel, a play shooting range where you can use the sensor guns to shoot at targets, and a couple bowling lanes...awesome!😎😎 Working our way through the store in search of ping pong tables, dismissing the many associates who asked if we needed help finding something (we assumed the tables are big and shouldn't be difficult to find) we finally gave in. We asked a young associate (we can't recall her name) where the ping pong tables are and instead of pointing to where we'd find them she took the time to walk us over to where the ping pong accessories are and explained the tables are too large to set up and display on the sales floor, then pointed to photos of each available table with their descriptions, stats, and prices displayed above the accessories. She seemed very knowledgeable and was very friendly and assisted us with choosing the right table and accessories for us. She then explained the delivery process and cost, as well as the set-up fee (we turned down the set-up and said we could do that ourselves). She gave us the paperwork needed to checkout and guided us to the registers. When we reached the checkout lanes we only had a short wait before being greeted with a smile by the next available cashier. After quickly ringing up our purchase and honoring their military discount (I'm a proud 10-yr USAF veteran), she explained to us the delivery process, saying the delivery team would be calling us to set up a delivery date/time then thanked us again with a smile as she said we'll see you next time (she actually was kind & cheery the whole time🙂👍). We received a call from the delivery team by the evening the same day and were able to set up for our delivery just two days later (10/31@11am-12pm), with an hour delivery window. Today I received a much appreciated call from the delivery drivers at 10:15am saying they were on their way and will arrive in 45 minutes. The delivery guys, Gerald & Kody, arrived right at 11am and were very friendly and courteous 😃👍 Since they had run out of shoe covers they offered to remove their boots to keep from dirtying our off-white carpet, which I really appreciated, then I showed Gerald where in the basement we'd like the table to go. He and Kody then proceeded to unload the large heavy box from their truck and bring it downstairs, being very careful not to drop it or damage the walls or anything else in their path. I explained they could just lean the box up against the wall and my husband and I would assemble it later, because we didn't pay the assembly fee. Gerald kindly said they wouldn't mind setting it up free of charge since they didn't have another delivery anytime soon. I offered to pay them, but he refused and said they didn't need it and are happy to help out. I sat and chatted their ears off as they quickly assembled our new ping pong table. Kody pointed out a small chip on the edge of the table's surface that must've happened in shipping, but said the delivery team will contact us to arrange a date/time to come back to repair it, after apologizing for it. These guys are top notch in customer service and we are more than satisfied! We give our experience with Scheel's, from the moment we entered the store all the way through to the end of the delivery/assembly process with Gerald & Kody an A+++++!!! Read moreNew Review, November 16, 2024 I felt I needed to leave an update and give a shout out to Gracie in the Customer Service Department at my local Scheel's store here in Colorado Springs. I was notified that my return had been delivered to this store by UPS but I wanted to go to the store to purchase a new gun. I had not seen the credit for my return yet, and I knew I was rushing the process a bit as it had not yet been fully checked in through Customer Service. I wanted to use the return $$ amount for my new purchase. I called my store and spoke with a most amazing employee, Gracie. She took care of everything and found my return and told me to come purchase my rifle anytime soon, and she would have a Gift Card completed for the return amount and waiting for me when I arrived. Gracie truly walks on water and eats fire in my book on Exceptional Customer Service. 5 Thumbs Up again for Scheel's!
Scheel's Gun Department is like a grown-up's candy store. And they even have a candy store as well for the sweet tooth in all of us. If Kevin is working the day you are shopping for a gun or selling a gun, make sure to request his exceptional customer service! 5 Thumbs Up again! March 2024 Updated again, and we could spend the entire day in the hunting and gun departments. Always a great fun experience and always an exceptional and fun staff here. I was assisted by both Josiah and Kevin, and it's evident they are professional, friendly, and enjoy the work they do with and for customers. 5 Thumbs Up for sure.

We could have easily spent 1, 2, or 3 days here at the amazing Colorado Springs Scheel's store! So much merchandise and so many smiling and helpful staff. And just as important for me, as a compliance officer for multi million dollar businesses, I saw so many customers who were excited, smiling, and happy. Just like me. Scheel's team members - staff were all courteous, professional, and treated me like I was a family member the entire time I was there. Granted, I did spend an inordinate amount of time in Scheel's gun department, and made a great purchase too. Jon Stricker assisted me as did another Jon at the customer service window for my purchase. They both walk on water and eat fire in my book on exceptional customer service! 5 Thumbs Up to Scheels. I can't wait to grab a car load of friends and head back up. Nice dining cafe too and wonderful soup provided by a competent and caring employee...
Read moreI cannot even begin to tell you how amazing the customer service at this store is. We were at Scheels today doing some shopping before (and during) the Thunderbirds Watch Party. We had grabbed smoothies and fudge before heading outside for a while and then made our way back in to do some shopping. As soon as we got off the elevator, my two year old began vomiting all over herself and her stroller. Within SECONDS, numerous associates and managers approached us asking what we needed help with. They began bringing paper towels and wet wipes and even returned with a cold bottle of water for my child. As I began wiping up the mess (there was ALOT), the manager came over and asked if we had a change of clothes. When I said no, he asked what size she wore and returned with an outfit for her about a minute later. I could not believe how above and beyond everyone went. We've shopped at Scheels for the past 2 years while living in Colorado and have always had a great experience. Our children love the ferris wheel, the playground area, and the aquariums and mom and dad love the merchandise selection and the coffee shop! We've always had a great experience while shopping here, but this was WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND! I have never in my life had such stellar customer service and will never forget this experience. I'd like to specifically mention Tanner and Rich, who stayed with us the whole time making sure that we had everything that we needed. They raised the bar and deserve MAJOR...
