Best Western Plus Spartanburg — Hotel in Spartanburg

Okay let me start by saying that I have stayed at this hotel numerous times when coming to visit family from out of town. And I rarely ever have an issue. However recently it seems like there are so many issues with this hotel that are not being addressed. When I initially checked in I was put in one room. After getting up there and started going through the room I noticed numerous issues. The remote for the tv was missing, the toilet was super wobbly, the refrigerator was not even cold and the room phone was not even working at all. I went down stairs to talk to the front desk to see if we could get a different room and the front desk lady was super nice and apologized and got us into another room. The second room we got into there was a dead moth on the floor and the lampshade for one of the lamps was broken as well as the refrigerator still does not work. I gave up and just picked up the bug and got rid of it. Now a few days later my boyfriend and I are sitting in the room watching tv and find a cockroach crawling across the tv stand. I call down to the front desk and the guy was nice but he apparently cannot do anything to help but put a note on my account. I have to wait until Tuesday when the manager comes back in order for them to do something about it. Which by the way is the same day we are going to be checking out. Another point to consider is that the mattresses are hard as a rock and the pillows you get to sleep with are like couch pillow size and not actual bed pillows. The staff always seems polite and apologetic but doesn’t seem like there are standards in this hotel when it comes to things working and being clean. I don’t think I will be returning to this hotel for my next trip to the area.

Edit: the managers will comment on your reviews but will not call you back to actually make the situation right. I have called and left several messages with this location and they do not want to call you back. These people don’t care put their hotel, they don’t care about the quality of your stay and they don’t care about their guests! Please do not stay...

So At First Everything Seemed Ok.My Ex Wife Came In From Florida And Booked A Room For Her So She would have A Place Too Stay. She said the bed was Comfortable The room was pretty clean. The shower was nice The TV was Good. But then on the second night she found roaches in the bathroom She killed about seven of them and then the very next day she had more roaches in the bathroom. The only thing that they did the maintenance man came to the room handed her a can of spray and told her if she sees anymore to go ahead and kill them herself. First of all She was a guest at your hotel She shouldn't have to do that That's what you have maintenance people for. The place needs to be exterminated It's obvious they have a roach problem. That's unacceptable and it's disgusting. The other problem that I have with that when the rooms are 15 people or less they charge you more money That's ridiculous. I would never stay at this hotel again We were very disappointed. I'm in the customer service business too and if you can't do better than that maybe you need to close. Didn't even get any apology not from the maintenance man or the front desk That's unacceptable. Was going to use the washing machine and dryer The washing machine was good the dryer doesn't work at all It doesn't heat Up. I think you have some things that you need to Attend Too ASAP. The hotel is not worth the money you...

Ok so I read the online reviews and booked this hotel. I'll list the positive things first. BEAUTIFUL layout, decor, etc. I loved the furniture design. And the price was amazing.

Now the negative: Boo boo still in the toilet. Medicine on the floor. (I wouldn't have said anything but I have small children and anyone could have eaten it thinking it was candy.) The lady at the front desk specifically told me no pets, however there was dog fur on the floor and table in front of the mirror. The carpet was sticky. (I don't even know how this is possible but it was.) The marijuana smoke... is marijuana legal in this state? Well anyway it was all in the elevator and on the 6th floor.

All in all, it was somewhere for my kids and myself to sleep. I walked in with my own disinfectant spray and I'm glad I did. I would just suggest that whomever cleans the room doesn't just change the sheets on the bed and towels in the bathroom. Vacuum! Wipe something down! Clean up something for real. Scrub the poop out the toilet atleast. Sheesh. Oh and vacuum the hallway. The carpet is vibrant but if you stop and look at it while you're waiting for the elevator, it's disgusting. I guess the maid quit. All in all, not a horror story but I wont be back. This hotel needs a budget for someone to actually clean it. It's a BEAUTIFUL hotel but it seems that noone is taking care of it and...
