Honestly, when i checked into the hotel, the staff was very friendly, the room seemed cleaned, as always, i inspect the roo, upon inspection, I found stains on the sheets, there was rat poison under the bed and surrounding areas of all furniture which could have killed my dog. i notified the front desk, the current employee, sam, who was very awesome and very hepful, fulfilled my request as far as letting me use a vacuum clener and giving me clan linens. let me mention that i checked in on a Tuesday, September 5th, 2017, every day i needed to extend my room i paid as soon as i knew i would be staying longer. My second night staying at Days Inn & Suites there was a different employee, his name was Sunny. At first, Sunny was very nice and helpful as well, he fulfilled my requests as well as even dryed my clothes for me after i washed them and asked if they had a dryer as well. He even went as far as delivering my clothes once they were dry to my room and letting me know they were outside my door. As time went on Sunny's attitude had changed from friendly, to moderate all the way to ignorant. Instead of payin nightly i decided to pay for the rest of the time i needed extended, September 7th, 2017 to September 9th, 2017. Well i needed to extend my room until Wednesday this coming week and had already paid after my uncle paid over the phone with his card after fulfilling Sunny's request of him sending his Drivers license to have a photo I.D. as well as a front and back picture of his debit card which i found very odd as hotels usually dont request that after they have use that card two times before this final transaction. let me also add in here that while i was walking down a hallway, a hotel room door was wide open and you could tell as i walked in that the individuals have checked out of that room, however i wanted to make sure that if someone was staying there that there door would be secured as i would want someone to do the same to mine. when i found it was vacant, all i wanted to do was switch my lampshade with the clean one from this room and put the kool-aid stained one from my room in this unoccupied room. Sunny then came in the room accusing me of trying to steal something, but again the individuals had already checked out. I explained to sunny that i just wanted to exchange lamp shades and even apologizd to him and asked him for a light bulb which he would not provide for me, i then told him i would go buy my own light bulb and his exact words were, why dont you go ahead abd do that and stop asking me for things. i was appalled witth his response, i paid for my room like every other individual who paid to stay at this hotel as well. well this morning at 730am i got a call to my room saying i had to check out even tho my room was paid up until wednesday because i apparently was up slamming doors and stomping purposely on the floor as he heard all of it when he was checking a guest in that night. unfortunately he did not think his lie through before he said those words because he was not the indvidual working that night, a young lady was, whn the check guest in they give them room keys and tell them to have a great stay, not walk them to their rooms and do inspections and littledid he know me and my dog left our room around 815pm that night, got back around 9pm that night and we went straight to bed abd that rude phone call from him woek me up. i then told him i was going to call the owners becuse i did not find this fair to be harrasssed and asked to leave fo no reason at all. he then calle my room and told me if i was not out by 11am he would call the police. i never said i wasnt leaving, my words to him were i was calling the owners and then checking into my new hotel. i was out by 9am. i gave them 2 stars because of the way this employee acts after you pay for room and for the lying. all the other employees are wonderful. i will be filing a BBB report to be refunded at least half my pay for being asked to leave for no reason except an employee lying. If you ever stay at thishotel, speak with...

Getting to the hotel is confusing as there is no direct street connecting it to the exit of Interstate 44 though it sits adjacent to the highway itself. To find it, a traveler has to two stoplights, turn in between a McDonalds and a Dollar Tree onto a side street, turn again onto what appears to be the entrance to Walmart, and into an alley which enters the parking lot. Once I found the hotel, my wife and I were greeted by a stack of old, worn furniture piled up on the sidewalk blocking access from the parking lot. Inside the door was a stack of mattresses piled up around the threadbare furniture in the lobby. Sign in was fairly easy even though neither of us could understand much of what the clerk was telling us as there was an apparent language barrier.||The room itself was fairly spacious and for the price I was surprised to find a microwave, safe, and a refrigerator along with the usual hair drier and an iron. All for around $85 wasn't too bad I guess. The curtains barely closed all the way and light from the Walmart across the street was fairly bright around the edges and center of the curtains. Definite points off there for that one. In the bathroom, the trim was cracked as was some of the tile along the wall. More points off. Cob webs noticed in the corners and around the air conditioner...strike three. Our decision to avoid this place and find other accommodations the next night was made.||Check out, we found out, is "virtual." After standing at the desk for almost ten minutes with no one at all present, I walked the hallways and breakfast area looking for anyone associated with the hotel. No luck. Finally, I glanced at my phone and noticed an unread text from the hotel, apparently sent while we were sleeping asking what time we were leaving and not much else. I replied with the current time and left the card at the desk hoping we wouldn't be charged for missing the checkout time. ||Overall, I would advise travelers to avoid this place. The facility appears aged and in need of a major renovation and cleaning. The staff are few and hard to find, and the room was so bright it was difficult to sleep. For this stretch of Interstate 44, I would recommend staying either 20 miles east in Sullivan or 20 miles west in Rolla where there are far...
Read moreMe and my husband booked two rooms for a Friday night stay. One was for us and our two small children and the second for my sister in law, her husband and 2 small children one of which is a newborn. We got there around 2 pm to check in and get the keys. My sister in law would be checking in a little later so the lady at the front desk had the room changed to her name and put the keys on hold for her to get when they arrived. As me and my husband got our stuff in we decided to go swimming with our children before we left to go venture around the town. When we got to the pool there were no towels in sight at all. We still went swimming but had to walk back to our room dripping as there were no towels. They concrete in the pool area was also very unstable and unsafe for small children where they had some tables and chairs. Before we left the hotel to go explore my husband went to the front desk to talk to them to make sure once again that we had the second room and they got the name changed. It was a different person than the one when we checked in but the guy assured us it was okay for them to come by anytime to get the keys as to which my husband said they’d probably check in around 8-9 pm. He once again said that was fine and they had the keys ready for them. When we got back later that night with my sister in law and her family the guy had stated he gave the room away since no one had checked in for it. He then proceeded to lie and say he called me multiple times to state that he had to give the room away since we never checked in. Which I had earlier. Had gave the room away not long after we left around 4 as well. So my sister in law with a toddler and newborn were stranded until they found another hotel. We also asked for the “complimentary cribs” they have for guests to which we were told were all broken and couldn’t be used. The hotel also stated they had breakfast which concluded of stale cereal. We decided to try the vending machine which was not working nor the soda machine. My husband also found no paper towels or soap in the men’s room when he went. All in all not impressed and never plan on staying here when we pass through again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a...
