The Culver Studios — Local services in Culver City

Take a moment to stop by here there is plenty of nearby parking. Soak it in, any movie or television lover will be pleased just to stand at the gates. This is where 1933 King Kong was filmed and those sets were later burned for "the Burning of Atlanta" scenes in Gone with the Wind which a majority was shot here. Later Lucille Ball & Desi Arnaz bought the complex and it was the home of Desilu. We're talking, I Love Lucy, Make Room For Daddy, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Star Trek, & so much more. The studio has seen many changes in size and ownership but it still remains with its iconic Mansion. Also you may note the Mansion was used twice in Gone with the Wind in opening shot of the Twelve Oaks Barbecue the mansion is given a long drive through the magic of matte paintings.
