This review is for the Culver City Sephora on Aug 9th around 7:30 pm. I usually love Sephora, but I entered the store and the two greeters at the door are why I may only take my business to Ulta for all future needs. My husband, my 21 year old daughter and I entered and asked the location of a hair product my son uses that we have purchased at Sephora before. The two greeters (they appeared to be a male and female, though I cannot confirm how they identify) interrupted my request with, “you need to go to Target.” To which I responded and tried to explain that I had purchased the product at Sephora previously. I was again instructed that I needed to go to Target. When we left, both greeters pointed and laughed at us. I am over 50. Perhaps I was not young and cool enough to warrant their service. Neither suggested a similar product. Neither asked me ANY orations. My family was treated as if the two sales consultants could NOT be bothered to actually sell or consult. Again- if Sephora is not interested in my purchasing dollars because I am over 50, not an “acceptable” enough customer to be assisted, not “young or cool” enough to deserve customer service, rest assured those two “greeters” conveyed that message loudly and clearly. Has anyone else worked retail? I have. I know my talented store managers would never tolerate paying me any hourly wage to drive customers away. I am a newbie when it comes to skincare and makeup so I was wandering around the store not really sure what I was doing until I finally decided to ask for help and I am so glad that I did. I was helped by Leslie and she helped me find the perfect concealer shade that matched my skin. I had been using an old crusty concealer and it was time to upgrade and splurge a little. She also helped me pick out a moisturizer and face wash! I used it as soon as I got home and my skin is feeling soooo good!    Read moreDO NOT GET YOUR MAKEUP DONE HERE. I had the most horrible experience this weekend. I scheduled a makeup appointment here months ago for my best friends wedding. Upon arrival, the store was locked and I was told it was a system error, cancelled my appointment after standing outside for 30 minutes, and they were unable to reschedule me. Complete waste of time, and I had to scramble for another makeup artist at Ulta (they did a great job).
