DO. NOT. GO. HERE. I never leave reviews, but after my experience here, I felt compelled to save others from spending so much for such a terrible experience. When we arrived, we immediately noticed a very large, very loud and very drunk table seated in the middle of the restaurant. After ordering our drinks and food, our appetizer came out and we did not have any silverware or napkins. We tried to wave down a server, but eventually my wife had to walk over to the server station/bar to request; the manager noticed her request and commented that he was surprised we didn't have any. When our entrees come out, they brought our steak but no steak knife. We again tried to flag someone down for a few minutes, but no one came. My wife had to walk back over to the bar/server station to request the steak knives. At this point, the drunk table left and our server commented to us on how loud the group was….so they knew it was inappropriate but chose to not say anything? Midway through our dinner, the staff began the closing process which included propping the outside door next to us (on a very cold night) to move the patio furniture inside past us. When we finished our meal, our server finally came back after a while with the check and said, “Sorry, I was in the back doing paperwork”. Okay….And to clarify, the food was very mediocre – the steak overcooked, the chicken dry, etc. Throughout all of this, neither the manager, who knew of at least a couple of these issues from when my wife had to walk over to get cutlery (twice!), nor anyone else came to apologize or try to make any of this right. My wife and I spent over $150 for the two of us to have a laughable experience.

PLEASE READ Simonette went from my most favorite place to the place where I had the most disappointing experience.

Yesterday I was super excited to go there ( was famished too). I ordered the newest thing in the menu and was looking forward to my exquisite meal. It was a whole fish with argula and tomatoes for 38 dollars.I looked promising and when arrived, I was quite impressed by it. I ate almost half very eagerly, and I was going for another bite.. that's when I realised that there was a THERE WAS A SHARP PIECE OF HARD PLASTIC, for an instant I thought it was the bone , but after further examination we found out it was indeed plastic. THANK I GOD I SAW IT IN THE DIM AND LOWLY LIT SPACE( it's very hard to even read the menu let alone see the food). I immediately called for help, and the waiters were helpful and kind they offered to get me another thing on the menu. By this time I had lost my appetite , and since we had to catch a movie I was skeptical as to whether I should get another replacement dish or not. But they insisted..Our server said she was sorry and will give me ANYTHING on the menu , she also mentioned that since I had ordered the most expensive dish already anything I order will be complementary- WHICH MEANS I WOULD NIT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT AS THEY WERE SO VERY SORRY.

I was not angered or irritated at this point at all, as humans make mistakes and I have compassion as long as one can accept where they went wrong. She assured me that the next chicken dish, that she had suggested, would be great and they will correct the mistake and I just had to sit back and sip my rosé.

But inspite of not wanting another dish inspite of being anxious about getting late- I didn't want to be fussy or act like I was above their apologies. SO ... I went along with their offer and said yes to the chicken Only to find that they had charged me for everything. The bill had the new dish added. After being so embarrassed and apologetic and causing a threat to my health they had charged me !! I was so moved by the hospitality and helpfulness at first- But were they really ashamed or sorry ????? Not at all !

I had ordered something for 38 dollars, and the dish they said would be on them was for 20. It's not about the money for me as I wanted to just have a good experience.. but the waiter DID NOT STICK TO HET WORD. AFTER PROMISING THAT THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE MESS UP AND GIVE ME THE DISH COMPLEMENTARY - THEY DIDN'T ! My movie was about to begin and I didn't want to get into a petty argument for 20 bucks so I decided to leave without a word as there had already been so much back and forth. Not only did i just have two bites out of the 20 dollar chicken i also did pay for it in full after being promised that it would be complementary due to their negligence.

What would 20 dollars get you simonette ? T I could have easily ingested that sharp piece of plastic, any half decent restaurant would take care of the next order but I guess you aren't even half decent and only their to make money not truly giving your patrons an experience to remember. So so disappointed. Don't think I will go their again because of the handling of the situation and lies that were told. I DIDN'T ASK FOR A COMPLEMENTARY DISH , SIMONETTE HAD OFFERED. INSPITE OF ALL THE CARELESSNESS AND INGNORANCE THEY STILL COULDN'T STICK TO THEIR WORD. WHAT WITH A TAUDACITY. LEFT WITH A TERRIBLE TASTE.

GO THERE, BUT BE CAREFUL. THE SPACE HAS VERY LOW LIGHT SO BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR MOUTH OR YOU WOULD BE WAITING FOR AN AMBULANCE !!! THEY ARE ONLY OUT THERE FOR YOUR MONEY ! DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE FANCY AND COOL VIBE ! YOU...

If you're looking for a low pressure place for a nice night out, Pali Hotel is your spot. Whether it's date night, entertaining friends, or getting together with co-workers, you've got everything needed for a great night out in one place.

ATMOSPHERE Tucked off just to the side of Culver City's restaurant row, the hotel's bar and lounge area offers warm, cozy ambience. Whether you're seated in comfort at a table up front, making new friends at the bar, or taking in the tree-graced ambience of the back patio, there's really not a bad seat in the house.

Everything from the lighting to architecture speaks to class and comfort without pretentiousness. And whoever is curating the playlist piping in over the speakers is doing a great job of piping in a diverse range of music that compliments the lounges atmosphere perfectly.

FOOD If you're hungry or thirsty, there's a modest food menu to choose from. Although this isn't a full fledged restaurant, there's enough diversity on the menu to top your tummy off as you enjoy a craft cocktail or beer.

It's beautiful, it's a great vibe, it's unlikely you'll walk away hungry or thirsty, so why not five stars. The food and beverage menu hasn't been updated to my knowledge since before the pandemic. This might not matter much to a first time visitor but for someone who has been there a few times it doesn't offer a lot of incentive to keep coming back.

SERVERS Servers on a whole are professional and personable. Like any venue, you may occasionally get someone who doesn't understand the finer nuances of table service. But thankfully negative experiences have been minimal in this regard.

TO SUM IT UP First or second time visitors will love Simonette. Great atmosphere and a decent menu will satisfy those looking for a fun night out in a classy yet relaxed setting. What Simonette really needs to focus on is a refresh of it's drink and food menu if the venue wants to hold the interest of folks who have been there more than...

Terrible, maybe the worst spot in all of downtown culver. Very overpriced and mediocre food at best. There are 1 or 2 good dishes but that isn't enough to make this place worthwhile

We tried this place a few times but the experience we had on New Year's sealed the deal for us. Our waitress sat us down and NEVER TOOK OUR ORDER. I swear, I think she was high that night. Something about her was off. We realized that we never had a chance to order anything, meanwhile the table next to us, who arrived after we did, managed to order 2 rounds of drinks. The only reason we were able to eat anything that night is because we were able to intercept the waitress from the next table and order through her. She didn't seem pleased but it wasn't our fault that our waitress wasn't doing her job. I'm not going to apologize for trying to feed my family

We were seated in the back of the restaurant, under this tarp that they use as a makeshift roof. It was cold and rainy on New Years, and the corner of the tarp kept lifting up and wetting us. Our waitress did come over again, not to take our order but to ask us if we wanted to move. We said yes, and that was the LAST TIME WE SAW HER THE ENTIRE NIGHT! We didn't actually get moved until the tarp blew off completely and the entire back of the dining area got soaked

By the time our food came out, so much time had passed that we were just done with it. We ate quickly and left, and of course, due to their incredibly small portions, we had to stop off for burgers anyway. We never got a discount or even an apology for how long things took or the fact that we got a bucket of rain dumped on us while we were inside the restaurant

Giving this place 1 star because of a single waiter they have working there who is very professional and deserves to be recognized for it. Otherwise this place is a joke. You would have a more fulfilling meal if you skipped this place and just ate your...
