Motel 6 Dallas, TX — Hotel in Dallas

Will try to make this as brief as possible. This is by far the most unpleasant stay in any motel/hotel in my life. It is inconceivable to me that any clear thinking, honest person would give this property, any more than at most, a one star. I’ll go through the list of issues with this property. The room smelled moldy and stale the minute we walked in. The linen was dingy and worn. Bed sheets had what appeared to me blood stains. The fire alarm didn’t work, but instead had wires hanging out of it. There were dead bugs that apparently hadn’t been collected. There was a spider in our sink. The remote to the tv did not operate any features of the tv. When I tried using the actual tv buttons to operate the tv features, the simply didn’t work correctly. Channel button worked every other, or second time you pressed it. The security latch on the door frame that was supposed to keep anyone from forcing their way in, simply gave way and allowed the door to be opened without obstruction. No towel bars to hang towels in vanity sink area. But wait, there’s more! We went to bed about midnight, and that’s when the noise began. It seemed to be coming from upstairs. Then it seemed to be coming from next door. Loud music, constant thumping as people were throwing things or one another around. I’m a heavy sleeper, so I actually wasn’t aware of this, until my poor wife, whom isn’t a heavy sleeper, woke me so that I could listen to the commotion that had kept her up half the night. I’m adding photos to this review as well. And Lilith, please don’t comment on this post with your insincere attempts at an apology, stating that you’re sorry you didn’t meet our expectations or your standards of excellence. The fact that you rented out a room in this condition, and allow such questionable, rude, and unruly people to rent a room, and create such a horrible experience for those of us that simply want a clean, quiet, and well kept room to rest in with our families, cannot be made right with your cookie cutter apologies that I see in many of the negative reviews that others have posted. The franchise owner of this establishment should be ashamed of himself. We had two nights booked, but left after the first. The absolute sad thing about it, is that we called the 1-800 number and were given a reservation for another motel 6 property by the dfw airport that actually had it’s own problems when we arrived in that room. Very clean & private I had no comlaints until now. The maid with her clipboard was very rude just now. yelling at me & her help that was cleaning rooms. I didnt need room service I have my own sheets & blankets & stuff. Just asked for toilet paper & she gave me 💩literally yelling at me like I'm her kid. Which is so petty & coincidentally happened during my phone asking me to rate this place. My original review is for whatever reason people rent rooms majority would be a safe place to lay their head , maybe difficult times, a parent escaping domestic violence with or without kids a place to go till you figure & sort things out, emergency circumstances, or from out of town whether it's work or vacation. Can't do that here. As long as you pay you would 🤔think. But check out time here is 2 days whether you pay or not. You have to leave & check back in later. What an inconvenience! Other that whoever she thought she was yelling at, toilet paper isn't that serious! Or is it? Cause if it is, be careful how you treat people you never know what someone is going through, you might get a reaction or something that wasn't meant for you. Well to start off , the lady at the front desk seen that I was pregnant and didn't even consider giving me a room on the first floor , I was given a room on the 2nd floor way on the other side of the building , mind you that is a very long walk. The first room I was checked into was dirty .. yes DIRTY which means I had to walk all the way back to the office with multiple bags to get another room. I was then told the only room that was available was still on the second floor but was a smoking room .... which is the most disgusting smell a pregnant women could be around. When I got into the room it was decent , the TV didn't work and neither did the phone. I paid for two nights because of how cheap the price was and there was no deposit . I asked the front desk if it was possible that I requested to not be disturbed the next morning by housekeeping beacuse of how tired , she said yes .. but I was and was STILL DISTURBED. So I went on ahead and answered the door .. when I tried to give house keeping my trash she told me I had to take it down stairs.. what kind of housekeeping does that ??
