Food was great, service was also great and we had a pleasing conversation with the waitress!!
That comment was a year ago. And we really liked that restaurant and their food. But one day last month my brother and I visited again and we had the rudest waitress ever!!! We got there, sat down, a young boy brought us the menu and the chips and sauce. The waitress didn't come as quickly as the others have before. She was a different waitress we hadn't seen before. She finally came and took our order. I also ordered a side of guacamole salad. But I remembered that the last time I ordered it, it had so much onions in it that I returned it for avocado slices. The waiter was nice about it. But this time I decided to cancel that order and got up to tell the waitress before she could served it. But as I was walking back to her area she had already gone out the other side with the salad and was at our table talking with my brother. She got mad because I returned it and never brought our irder, which she had already taken, to us. She helped other people that walked in way later than us and served them their food and we still waited and she never brought us our order except for our glasses of tea. We got up and left, but I did leave her some money for the two glasses of tea. The boy was at the register with a customer who was paying for his food and I told the boy that we were tired of waiting for 45 minutes and still no food and that I had left money on the table for the tea glasses and left!! That girl needs to be...
Read moreI live very close to this place. My boyfriend and I used to stop by for dinner and a margarita most Fridays. We usually have the same waiter, but we never know what mood he's going to be in. A couple times he was friendly and chatty, but most times we feel unwelcomed and like we're being a burden by walking in. This last time, yes, I said last time, I decided I've had enough of the attitude and feeling unwelcomed in a slow restaurant. I understand having a bad day but my goodness don't take it out on your customers. I would have over looked it, like I have in the past, but the fact that we walked in, and there were only two tables with customers when he sat us, it took him 3 times to come to our table before our drinks order was taken and the couple of tables that came after us got their orders taken before us. We walked in knowing what we wanted so it really shouldn't have taken him 3 times coming to our table just to get our drink order. He kept saying he'd be back, and was very unfriendly about it, he could have been more efficient and took our orders before rushing off each time. I work in the service industry so I see these things and I am very aware of how my co-workers and I are treating our customers and we try to be as efficient as possible. I am disappointed because it is convenient for us and the food is not bad, but I'll just take my business to any of the other delicious Mexican restaurants in Oak Cliff with better food, better margaritas and...

Buena Vista was recommended to me by a friend and after driving past it for years I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food or service because I was denied entry based on the fact that I have a Medical Alert Dog. My dog had his big service dog vest on that clearly identifies him as a Medical Alert Dog. The Manager was rude and uneducated. He wasn't listening when I patiently explained that this is not a pet dog - he is a Service Dog. The Manager kept asking for an ID card even after I explained that the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) does not require a card or any other identification like that. In fact, I explained to him that those cards are actually scams. Anyone can buy them off the internet for 50 bucks and someone who has one is probably trying to pass off their pet dog off as a service dog. He didn't want to see my brochure explaining the law either. It's one thing to be denied service by an ignorant individual. It is another to have that individual be extremely rude about it and uninterested in education. We left and...
