Where to start. There was a bug in the sink of the breakfast area at night. It was very much alive. Stairwell smelt like someone was smoking in it, and the hallways didn't smell right as well. Hallways where covered in tiny paper shreds. Room wasn't terrible, if "not terrible" means squeaky beds, blankets with cigarette holes, and a cold room, with a tiny bathroom, and wrinkled pillowcases. Tons of outlets so if you need to charge 10 devices that's a plus. A hot breakfast. Sure, one waffle iron is hot. Low cereal levels, no cups, donuts in a container where anyone can just grab one. Sounds perfectly sanitary and delicious. Oh, I found a raisin in my waffle, at least, I hope it was a raisin. And that bug, it was still in the sink when I left. The sink in the breakfast area. Overall, if you want to feel unclean, unsanitary, and creeped out, feel free to stay here, otherwise, I don't recemend. At all. Find somewhere else to stay. For your own good, please.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It was very dirty and uncomfortable. We reserved two nights but checked out early eating the $160 cost of an additional night. I would gladly pay double if it meant getting some sleep and not worrying about my kids walking barefoot on the dirty floors or opening up the air conditioner components by merely bumping into it. The pool is very small and was inaccessible. I did not feel that my stay here was worth it. It was stuffy in our room so we opened a window. Our neighbors were smoking in their room blowing smoke out their window and into ours. Finally, the breakfast was out of coffee and waffle batter. A hotel employee attempted to make himself a waffle and found no batter for himself. We watched as he went into the back, got some batter for himself to make his own waffle, but didn't bring any for the guests. We got breakfast at the 7/11 next door. This was our experience, yours may differ.

While the location was convenient, this hotel was an embarrassment to the Quality Inn and Choice Hotels brand. The room was adequately clean, and did not smell unlike the hallways. However the floor was peeling up in spots, the bedding had holes in it, and the pillowcases looked like they had sat in the dryer for a week. All of that could have been overlooked, but the breakfast was depressing and a reflection of the rest of the hotel. Very limited options, and a bug was living in the sink in the lobby/breakfast area. It was there when I checked in and still there for breakfast in the morning. It crawled to a new place in the sink, so this was not just a dead giant bug in the sink, but what appeared to be a permanent resident. The syrup container appeared as if it had not been cleaned in months, leaving me to doubt the staff knew how to clean anything adequately. Happy to check out.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE WHERE DO I BEGIN!!! This the a portion of the letter I send to corporate about this hotel. I have contacted the Health Department about my concerns. Upon check-in to our room on 09/2/2022 at 7:50 PM we noticed that the room had the following issues: No waste basket anywhere in the room. Noticed when we went to throw out our dinner trash. We were heading down to the pool, I was in a swimsuit, and we stopped by the front desk to tell them we needed a waste basket. The woman at the desk in an extremely rude tone asked “Well did you do an early check-in?”. I informed her no we just checked in an hour ago. She said fine we will have a basket sent up. I asked her if she could take my trash that was in a paper bag to put it in a trash can she had next to her behind the desk. She said there is a trash can out the front door around the corner I can take it to. I informed her “No, I am not going outside in my swimsuit to take the trash out” and left it on the counter. The room (walls, ceiling, floors, bathtub, doors, mirrors) were dirty and disgusting. Black mold on the ceilings. Noticed when I laying on the bed at 1030PM that night. Black mold in the bathroom. Noticed when I went to take a shower after the pool. Mold on shower curtain and around bathmat. Floor so dirty that when the children took their shoes off and we walking around in their socks we noticed they were black on the bottom. The room had a hard floor, no carpeting. That night we rebooked at another hotel. In the morning I went to the front desk, told them I wanted a refund and was leaving. The front desk gentleman then called another person on the phone. He then informed me that they would only refund me the cost of the nights I didn’t use. Zero outlets in the bathroom at all even though the sink, toilet and shower were located in it. 1 outlet in the outside bathroom area. No working vending or ice machine on my floor. Ice bucket and tray dirty. Entrance door dirty. Bathroom door dirty and falling apart. This is totally unacceptable! We stayed, with 2 small children, in a room...

We stayed here on a trip across the country and chose it, primarily, for the location near the highway. Usually we leave positive comments on hotels where we stay and we reluctantly are going to leave mostly negative ones for this hotel. The hotel seems “weary” like it is old and needs some updating. Some of the staff at the front desk were a bit out of touch with us as customers. There seemed to be quite a bit of confusion on how to use the computer to get us checked in and took 2 people to sort out some sort of problem. We thought things were going to be fine, got our keys and one of the staff even gave us a good place to go for supper. That part was helpful. When we got to our room, we noticed the water in the toilet was grey/dirty and figured maybe the hotel or city was flushing their lines, so waited and the water never cleared up, so decided it would be better not to drink it. In the morning, the water was still bad looking. We are thinking of Flint, Michigan, now and wondering what is going on, so asked the staff at the front desk and she said the city was working on the water lines. I asked if we should be drinking it and she said no. I said it would have been nice to have some notice about it as we checked in and she said “everyone knows about it because its been in the news for weeks” - BUT we are not from Danbury so we didn’t know about it. I mentioned that it would have been good to have signs up or something. She just shrugged her shoulders. We didn’t feel much like eating breakfast after that as we wondered what water was used to prepare the coffee, wash the dishes, prepare the food. The last negative about this hotel is that it was very noisy during the night. It must be near a railroad track and though we initially thought it was an advantage to be near the Interstate, we could hear it from our room all night. Sorry, but we will...

I don't usually write reviews, but this was just terrible. Room STUNK terribly. When entering, the window was open wide and the screen was broken, the room is at ground level facing a garbage strewn field behind the parking lot, we felt like anyone from outside could easily get in. I was here with my kids and wife, so that really set a tone. Sink pipe was dripping water onto shelf underneath and towels were wet due to that, and the sink itself had the stopper nearly fully locked down, so water collected in the basin (brushed teeth) and when I left it to drain for a bit, I came back to find large ants with wings had collected inside it and drowned themselves, with the number growing to about 12 over night and the water not reducing much. Fixtures were broken (eg: plugs popped out and wires exposed, a light didn't work, etc), drawers off kilter and broken on dresser, runner pulled off the wall and hanging, etc. Also, the shower head was half clean and other half black with mold. There was also a very (very) questionable stain/cake on the outer door frame of the bathroom, it was blatant, disgusting, clearly not normal, and needed to have been cleaned. Also, the walls, headboards, dresser, and side tables had damage to them all. I don't care about that stuff as much, but in conjunction with the rest of it... They also had a full mask mandate posted on their front door, which is fine, but the desk worker did not have one on, nor did many guests. There was also no breakfast, just sayin'. This was legitimately one of the worst stays I've had in a long time. I stayed up the entire night, on top of the covers and I washed all of our stuff right after...
