Immediate thought upon walking in the front was the place was acceptable we were given our room key and went up to the third floor to our "suite" we weren't expecting this as a great place to spend our vacation as we were only staying for one night to catch a cruise the next day. Immediately upon entering the room there appeared to be a "blood spot" and it looked somewhat fresh. I have no idea what it was but the more we looked around we realize we had been "had" my family and the other family we were staying with were very uneasy but I talked to them to just endure the one night as it was already late and we would be out of there as SOON as possible in the morning. Then the bugs started coming out, I wish I could post videos but for some reason this only accepts image files. We found what we believe to be roaches crawling all over the place! My wife and brother in laws wife immediately called down to the main office and the very rude manager stated that they don't have bugs so they walked down to talk to her about it. The lady called back up to the room and told us to all "come down to the lobby" as they were going to spray our room. I was very much against this but finally conceded as it was the only way the girls and our 4 small children would stay. It was decided that me and my brother in law would remove all our luggage out of the room as we didn't want it sprayed with what they claim as a "chemical free" bug spray. So the girls went down to the main lobby and we waited outside against the wall with our luggage to protect it. An entire 30 minutes later here comes the girls back up to the room and I asked them "what are you guys doing" and my wife says oh the lady gave us the confirmation that our room had been sprayed and it's safe to go back inside! At that moment it all dawned on me, this lady was feeding us lies and probably the same thing she states to all of the other guests. They did offer us a shuttle voucher to the port but wouldn't compensate us for what was happening. At that point I went down to confront this lady about her lie and there was the worker standing at the front counter with a can of RAID! I told her i didn't appreciate her lying and she immediately got defense with me and told me that he in fact DID SPRAY OUR ROOM and even said we probably had our "backs turned and he went inside! She told me she had video surveillance that can prove it. I said no he absolutely did not because I was waiting outside the door the Entire time!! Things escalated and when I showed her the recorded videos and pictures she threatened to call the police on me and have us removed from the property! The police showed up and asked us to leave but they understood what was happening when I showed them everything. My 3 children and my wife and brother in law and his wife were kicked out on the street at 10 pm in the NIGHT BEFORE our cruise! The police kindly made sure we were able to find an acceptable place to stay...We walked a couple miles to find a hotel and paid about 400$ just a bit more and it was so nice! To top this all off this lady didn't refund us our almost 375$!! They are absolute thieves at this hotel and the front manager is a liar. She wouldn't even come up to the 3rd floor so I could show her all the dirt and stains all over the hallways. they aren't even air conditioned! and feel so disgusting. This lady never checked us out after the police officer clarified with her that she was going to be issuing us a refund for our stay. This is a fake hotel and one of the absolute worst experiences that i've ever had in my entire life. I was scared to look in the bed as we never got in them to look for bed bugs but I would beware if I were you!!
-We finally after escalating this to expedia were issued our refund but it took a lot of pictures/video evidence to get our money as there hands were tied because that lady never "checked us out"! Thankful that expedia...
Read moreWe stayed one night and will never stay there again. There are so many things that gave this place a one star. I would give it a zero if there was an option. The driver, Luis, was in a terrible mood. He didn’t greet us and when we offered to help load the luggage, he bluntly told us to get in the van. He was cursing, honking his horn, and driving dangerously. It was scary for the lady in the front and for my family who were sitting in the second and third rows. We were all concerned and looked at each other as to what to do, especially since we had our two year old granddaughter with us. The lady upfront took initiative and asked him nicely to drive safely. He responded by telling her to be quiet, that he’s been driving for 34 years and doesn’t need her to tell him how to drive. She responded that she’s concerned about her life. He then angrily responded by saying “my life is more important then everyone's lives here” so he would not do anything to harm his life! She tried to calm him down, never once raising her voice. Meanwhile, he continued to yell at her to shut up and eventually pulled over, got out, open the lady’s door and asked the lady to get out of the van. When she refused, he opened the sliding door, told us he could not drive with her in the car, closed the door and got on the phone. Meanwhile, we sat in the van not knowing what was going to happen. We were not in a location they we can catch another form of transportation. Luis was so agitated that he kept pacing back and forth angrily. We felt very uncomfortable approaching him since he was so easily offended earlier. After waiting without an update, we called the hotel to inform them of the situation. Asked that they ask him to drive us to the hotel in a safe manner or get us a driver that was not angry. Eventually, they sent another driver that was friendly and drove carefully. Later, I overheard him explain to the front office staff what happened in Spanish. His story was so one sided. He complained about the lady on how she would not stop talking even though he repeatedly asked her to. Of course he never mentioned how erratic he was driving and how he was scaring his passengers. The ride should be about how safe and welcomed he makes the passengers feel. Many of us have been driving more than 34 years and we can recognize when someone is driving erratically and irrationally. Even though the hotel contracted the rides to a third party, the driver is a representation of their hotel’s standards. The hotel didn’t even give us a contact to file a complaint against the driver. Most importantly, they didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience and the terrible experience. It was apparent that they didn’t care. We stayed at a 2 bedroom with 3 beds suite for 6 people. Check in was easy; however, the lady there gave us 2 bottled waters and two Milano cookies in a bag. When I told the lady there were 6 of us, she didn’t say anything, just turned around and gave me 4 more bottles. When I asked about the cookies, she blankly told me they ran out. She did not offer a bag for the other 4 bottles. Their breakfast buffet does not cater to any allergies, especially dairy. Everything they make has dairy, except for bagels and fruit. No milk alternatives are available. The bathtub didn’t drain well, which the cleaning crew should have noticed when they clean the bathtub. Made us wonder if the cleaning crew even cleaned the rooms properly. Even thought he airport is close, they leave only on the hour. Therefore, we had to get an uber to make it to the airport.

Thank goodness I was only staying one night. Had I booked a longer stay I would have moved hotels. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my stay at the property. 24 hours prior to my reservation I received numerous communications from Hilton encouraging me to set up and use the electronic check-in feature. Allegedly, this would allow me to go straight to my room upon arrival, and I would not need to stop at the front desk. I decided to set up this feature as I would be arriving at 9:00pm-10:00pm due to a delayed flight.
Upon arrival my party and I went straight to our room. The man working the front desk greeted us as we walked in from afar with a simple “good evening”.
When my party and I made it to our room, I opened the Hilton app and attempted to use the remote check in/keyless entry. I tried to open the door a few times and received error messages with each attempt. The room I was booked in was a considerable walk from the front desk at this property. I called the front desk for assistance - no answer. I had my party wait at the door to the room, and I walked down to the front desk to see why I couldn’t enter the room using the keyless entry.
When I spoke to the man at the desk he informed me that remote keys were not working, and we needed a physical key. I was frustrated by this because when my party and I arrived we walked through the front door with all our bags in hand. I understand that the man at the front desk can’t read minds but when he greeted us upon arrival, he could have used context clues and said “Good evening, if you haven’t checked in yet, the mobile key is not working so you will need a physical card”.
I finally received my physical card and walked all the way back to my room to meet the rest of my party. The key worked and was able to open the door. Upon opening the door, my party had an extremely negative first impression. The room looked as if it had not been cleaned, and the filth had been sitting for a considerable amount of time. To put it plainly it was absolutely disgusting. The couch in the living room area was covered in some unknown fluid. It honestly looked like dried vomit. We saw and killed cockroaches that were crawling on the floor. When everyone went to sleep that night, we each laid on beach towels we packed from home for our trip. We did not want to physically touch anything in that room. No one even showered because they did not want to go into the shower/use the towels. I cannot truly express how dirty this room was.
I brought these complaints to the front desk who apologized and informed me they would add 5,000 Hilton points to my Hilton account. I questioned the front desk to see if that is all they could do because I was not a Hilton rewards member. They stated “You are a member. You have an account created”. To which, I responded “I only created an account because I was prompted to make an account to utilize the keyless entry…which did not even work”. They stated there is nothing more that can be done.
I am highly dissatisfied with this property and Hilton’s customer service. I do not have one positive thing to say about my stay, it was a...
