I had a nice stay here. The grounds are quite nice, plenty of free parking. Lobby was updated, clean and pleasing to the eye. Check-in guy super nice! Breakfast buffet is excellent. The people keep it well stocked, clean and the BEST scrambled eggs. The hot delicious coffee is a good waker-upper! My suite on the second floor was nice - a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom. The room was clean and the beds (1 queen, 1 king) were comfy. One bathroom had a tub, it was clean and bright. The king bed had a wonderful huge bathroom with a ton of counter space (pic) and cubbys for your stuff. It had a glass shower (pic) which I liked; no tub. Both bathrooms were very well stocked with fresh fluffy towels. I appreciate the refillable shampoo, conditioner & body wash (pic). It cuts down a lot on the small plastic waste bottles. I didn’t love the strong scent of the brand, but that’s just me - it smelled like men’s cologne. The room was showings signs of wear. For example, the dining table chairs looked like a cat clawed them (pic). The furniture could be updated as it was scuffed in places (pic). The couch has seen better days (pic) and the carpet needs to go! I don’t necessarily care about those things, but others do. The one really big problem was the charge for my dog. The room was $200 (not bad), but the dog was a one time charge of an extra $100 — for ONE night. I can tell you my dog is cleaner and more respectful of a room than most children and adults. If I were there a week - I’d have no issue, but $100 for one night was steep. For anyone looking for USB ports, I found none. Not even one. Even the clocks did not work - not a tech hotel. Location is ok. Big Sportsman shop across the street. I95 very close. A couple fast food places up and down Griffin. Grocery store minutes away. I went to the performing arts center and it was a quick hop on 95 - about 15 minutes. And the airport is near. All in all a nice stay.

Overall, our stay was pretty good. We got one of the studio rooms, so we could have a little bit of distance between us and our kids while sleeping, which was nice. We did find one of those floss pick things under the desk in the room, which did not instil faith in how clean the rest of the room was. One of the things we were really looking forward to was the outdoor pool (given that the kids were stuck in the car all day, they were really excited to get some energy out in the pool). Well, the pool is either unheated, or the heater was not on, or broken, or something, because it was frigid. We are Canadian, and the 22°C/72°F was plenty warm for us to be swimming, (we spent the whole previous week in the pool at our other accommodations) but the pool area was completely empty, because the pool was so cold. So, we weren't able to swim. Also, the "splash pad" area was truly disappointing. Basically just a fountain, with several water spouts not working. (see photos) They were able to accommodate an early check-in for us, which was truly appreciated. We were very happy with the breakfast in the morning as well, and we were able to get the complimentary shuttle to the airport in the morning. Be aware that there isn't much within walking distance in terms of restaurants or stores - not an issue if you have a car, but I know lots of travellers may have returned their rental car by the time they get to an airport hotel.

Unsettling pest problem in room! Sugar ants were found crawling primarily in kitchen area on the countertops in the room, however were also found near the bathroom and on desk nearest window by the bed. We couldn't eat in the kitchen. Brought this to the attention of the front desk but was told rooms were full and we couldn't be moved to another room. The maintenance person sprayed some home defense around the countertops and around perimeter on the floor, however ants still ran rapid. Nice maintenance person, but he wasn't able to fix the thermostat which was also a problem. The temp in room was first icebox cold and then once maintenence adjusted it was stuffy and hot. He did come by a couple of times to adjust the temp as we weren't able to do it ourselves but he was nice. We were booked here for vacation so would not recommend for that purpose as there are better, cleaner options. However if you have a quick turnaround and don't need to stay long this hotel may be alright if you're willing to put up with ants.

The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful, especially for people who are supposed to be HOSPITALITY professionals. Front desk clerk has cold, angry eyes seething with irritation and a dismissive tone. Completely lacking in compassion or empathy.

We had a day to kill after getting off the cruise ship, before our flight, so we had a reservation for one night at this Marriott. Unfortunately my husband got food poisoning from dinner last night, and he was vomiting and nauseated all morning. That's why we arrived at the hotel at 8:00 a.m. Check-in is not until 4, but hubby asked if there was any way we could get early check in, even offering to pay for an extra day. He was told they would call as soon as a room was available.

I understand busy, chaotic businesses and the stress it can cause. So I was very polite and cheerful when I went in 2 hours later and asked if there was any update, or was there any way we could upgrade our reservation to find any availability. The rude dude put his best fake smile on his cold face and told me that they would call. "We SAID we would call. We are sold out. Nothing is available." I said okay thank you, and walked back to the car.

Two and a half hours later, my husband is still feeling horrible although thankfully he's been able to sleep a little. We hadn't heard a thing, so I went back to ask, with my same understanding smile, hoping that maybe they had forgotten or just been too busy to call. Surely by 12:30, there is a clean room that we could have.

"I know you are busy; I thought maybe you didn't have time to call. Is there anything available yet?" I asked hopefully.

This guy could barely contain his irritation, "We SAID we would call you. Believe me, I want to get you out of our lobby as much as you do."

I said, "We aren't in your lobby. We've been waiting in the parking lot." I don't remember his answer, but I left with tears in my eyes, feeling completely disrespected and helpless to help my husband get out of the heat and lay down in a comfortable bed. He's been trying to sleep in the car for 4 and 1/2 hours now.

Oh, I forgot to mention the manager that came out with another employee, practically accusing us of being vagrants because we were sitting in the car. At least they did not run us off the property, but she gave no assurance or show of compassion that she would do something to try to help us.

Finally, in desperation, I called a nearby Hampton Inn, and spoke to the nicest woman named Beverly. She immediately showed compassion and put on some hold to check with housekeeping to see if there was a room available. They did not have one, but she went the extra mile and called a neighboring property to find a room for us. She was amazing and kind, a true professional hospitality agent, and exactly the kind of person you would want to help you in time of need. Not only did she find us a room at a decent rate, but they did not charge us for the early check-in.

I will probably never stay at another Marriott due to the horrible experience here. Oh, and we are not getting our money back because we did not cancel...

We stayed here for three nights. If you're flying into/from Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, this is your perfect location. The hotel itself is pretty new, decorated in a modern and contemporary style.

The rooms were a comfortable size with a modern kitchen. Surprisingly, I found the bathrooms larger then what I expected with plenty of light. I also found the rooms insulated well with no noise from approaching aircraft. My room was facing the back of the hotel, overlooking a residential area. The front of the hotel faces two streets that intersect which are busy. I'm assuming the insulated rooms protect you from possible noise. If you're sensitive to noise, the air conditioner in the room seemed quite loud, but for me, that helps me sleep and will drown out possible noise in the hallways or nearby rooms.

The staff at the front desk were responsive to any of my questions and were quick for check-in/out. I do want to give a big shout-out to the breakfast staff. They were very cheerful and pleasant to talk with. They also did a great job managing the cleanliness of the breakfast area. Speaking of breakfast, it has to be the best I've experienced at a moderate priced hotel. The selection was large from scrambled eggs, potatoes, yogurt, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, hot oatmeal and the list goes on. Available for the guests are 24 hour coffee and tea. Again, for a moderate priced hotel, the coffee was pretty good considering I've become a coffee snob. A friendly tip....instead of having breakfast inside, enjoy the table, chairs, and sofa outside! It's very quiet and zen compared to the noise and amount of people who are eating inside.

The public areas of the hotel are great. As I just mentioned, the outside lounge area near the pool is wonderful. The lobby area inside is great as well. The Wifi is fast in all areas including the room and outside lounge area. I didn't use the gym but my partner did and liked it for the convenience.

The location is great, right off I-95. You can be in downtown Ft. Lauderdale in 10 minutes and downtown Miami in 30 minutes without traffic. Within a 5 minute drive is a 24-hour CVS and for grocery shopping, a Publix...

It is so disingenuous of this hotel not to publicly share that the hotel is under renovation. I booked this hotel at the last minute and checked in late at night on 8/16/24. The location is not exactly close to restaurants as there were limited open restaurants nearby to grab a bite around 11 pm. At check in, I met a receptionist who was very curt and sounded irritated when I asked if she could use my card on file when I realized I didn't have my usual travel card. BTW I'm a platinum member and all she did was ask do u want point or something from the market or whatever it's called. There was no smile or welcoming tone welcoming me to the hotel. I also booked this hotel because I needed to dry some clothes but she said that the hotel was being renovated and the only washer and dryer they had was not working. I was on a same day road trip and didn't expect to spend the night so I had used my car charger all day to charge my phone and my battery was almost dead. I needed to charge my phone and there was NOT a single USB port in the room, lobby, (these are usually built into lamps and other desk outlets/ports. I looked for a business center but all they had was 3 chairs and a counter, no computer or business center. I went downstairs for breakfast the next day and it just wasn't appealing nor appetizing. It looked like a ramshackle/slapped together set up to feed the hungry masses. Fruit container left wide open where guests can talk over it and bugs and dust can settle on it. Some dry looking wrapped sandwiches and cheap packaged muffins. The bedroom was clean, and extra bedding was available for the pullout sofa. Overall a great disappointment and waste of my hard earned points. Someone left a luggage cart practically in front of my room since last night. When I came out of my room this morning, it was blocking my door. I should've stayed at the Sheraton, Renaissance or Courtyard (which are closer to my son's school anyway) for the same or less points if I'd known about the lack of dryer and...
