Had an excellent experience with Robert yesterday! I had never been "mattress store" shopping because going to IKEA to buy the cheapest thing available in the as-is department doesn't constitute shopping for a mattress IMO ha!
The store itself was clean and organized. Ample parking. Not things you really have a problem with at a mattress store anyway but worth mentioning! When I arrived, Robert was just finished up helping another family, but greeted me and let me know he'd be right with me. I wasn't in a rush but knew it was close to close so I was grateful for the warm welcome.
Robert was extremely friendly, and immediately put me at ease. During our time together, he shared some of his history with the company, and was clearly an expert. He shifted gears quickly to think through budget-friendly mattress options rather than trying to push me to finance a mattress I couldn't afford. Sure I would love to buy a $1200 mattress lol but he was sensitive to the fact that as a single woman with a dog I am not yet in the $1200 mattress phase of my life đ€Ș
He shared several price point options with me, and offered advice/consideration for mattress protection (never knew I needed it) as well as a new foam pillow to replace the very nice one I've had for 15 years (I know, don't judge me lol). He pulled a couple different beds down to allow me to try them out and was patient as I considered them. When it came time to purchase, Robert was very transparent about the delivery situation in regard to COVID-19, and even with limitations was still able to offer its delivery in the time frame I needed it before having a guest arrive.
Also important to mention: several salespeople and managers from other stores came by to pick up product, and all were extremely friendly! It seems like any Mattress Firm you go to in the area you are bound to interact with kind folks.
Can you believe all this was in less than 45 minutes? I honestly didn't think I'd even be purchasing a mattress-- merely looking. It took me about 3-4 months to buy a car and 3 days to decide on a couple sets of curtains (to give you an idea of how anxious bigger/"permanent" purchases take me usually). But Robert made me feel comfortable with his kindness and extensive knowledge, plus the excellent deal I got on my mattress was actually below my price point. Bought a Tempur-pedic mattress and base 10 days ago. Delivery was fast. However, immediately I experienced severe back pain with this bed. After 7 days of increasing pain, night after night, I started calling the store. In which case they continue to stall and tell me my associate/manager is not available. It's been 9 nights now with little to no sleep. I feel like I've been dropped from a building.It is difficult to move or breathe because of this pain. I actually had very little pain before this, but was sleeping on a camping air bed. I am in my 60's, and have scoliosis and kyphosis. So instead of setting up a return for the mattress, they continue to recommend that I wait 30 days, suffer their sadistic torture, and then maybe I'll get someone to talk to? My body will NOT adjust to the bed. I have permanent spinal curvature/damage. I have nothing to sleep on now except for a hardwood floor. Which has caused me less pain than this Tempur-pedic Supreme Breeze. I don't know if they stand by their "Sleep Happy Guarantee" or not because they don't seem to want to right now. In that store policy description, it says "you should sleep on it for a minimum of 30 days", not you MUST to fulfill your part of the guarantee. My pain is very real and I have the medical records to prove it. Buyer, beware. You may have to suffer greatly before they will stand by their guarantee.
Update: Since posting this review, I have been contacted by Mattress Firm and they have graciously accepted return of the mattress prior to the 30 day, recommended, minimum trial period. I am, however, still waiting for the refund. I was informed it would take up to 7 business days. Will update again to see if Mattress Firm stands...
   Read moreAfter waiting far too long to get a new mattress my wife and I visited this Mattress Firm and were blown away by the level of courtesy, professionalism, and knowledge displayed by all of the staff, but especially our primary salesman, Romeo.
My wife and I had done some research beforehand and had some ideas of what we wanted and our price point. We shared all of this with Romeo and he took us directly to see some fantastic tester models.
Romeo wasn't pushy or aggressive. He made helpful suggestions, answered all of our questions, and left us alone to experience each of the mattresses for ourselves.
We were in the store for almost 40 minutes, trying out different mattresses at our leisure. Upon hearing our assessments, Romeo recommended a higher caliber of mattress that wasn't on the showroom floor but that he thought we would enjoy.
Trusting in Romeo's sound advice, we took his suggestion, and I am so glad that we did! Our new mattress is incredible - exactly what we both wanted. For the first time in years, I am excited to go to sleep!
I won't go into details about the mattress itself because the right mattress for you will vary based on personal preference. But I will say that Romeo and the other sleep experts at Mattress Firm are the professionals you need to find that perfect mattress.
In the interests of full disclosure, I will say that due to a small mix up our box spring was delivered on one day and the mattress the day after. Romeo, however, was our advocate throughout the process and the delivery teams, both for the box spring and the mattress, were efficient, courteous, and amenable.
