Let me tell you why this place is the ABSOLUTE BEST: Little bit of backstory, my younger sister went to this place a few weeks ago and told my mom how good the food is, which mom of course then tells me and we make plans to go together a few days after. When we go I am amazed by how cute the interior is, it's a bit late and my mother and I can be a little crazy together (yes is this what you want wait no wait yes wait she meant something else) but the young lady gets our orders and we sit down, the food comes quickly and OH MY GOD ITS SO DELICIOUS!!! Honestly the best food I've ever had. I couldn't give enough praise. We eat and talk and suddenly my mom goes "the place is closed!" they were kind enough to let us say and eat past closing and didnt interrupt us. We left full and extremely happy. Now fast forward a week or so to tonight, been having the worst day. I'm laying in bed nauseous cause I haven't eaten all day. All of a sudden I remember Bullgogi! That food was soooo good! So I pull out my phone and google it, closes 9 pm, its 8:48 and a 9 min drive. I'm in my pajamas nauseous upset, but I jump up, put on a coat and grab my purse and hop in my car. When I pull into the parking lot the open sign is on, when I get out of my car... it's not. Devastated I look stand at the front of the door thinking I missed my chance, but I see them putting away food so I pull open the door and ask if by any chance I could still get something. She said okay and I got a bowl of the BEST BULGOGI (it's her mother's or grandmothers secret recipe I cant remember which she told me) like SERIOUSLY it's so damn good! I gave them a 20$ tip and as I got in my car I realised for the first time that day I was happy. Their pure kindness has brightened my day. They could have turned me away but they let me in. They changed my night without even knowing it. So thank you. Go here, support a local family business, have some damn good AUTHENTIC food, and amazing...
Read moreYEP! it's true. The place is tasty💯💯💯. Okay so this was my second time there. I waited til well after lunch because I didn't know if it was going to be busy or not. I went at about 1400 on a Thursday, and a very knowledgeable lady named Jalisa was working. Now I went in knowing I was going to get the basics. You know bulgogi and some kimchi, and I did... But what Ive never experienced was having choices of what to go with my bulgogi. I mean it has always came with the standards rice, kimchi, and maybe some yakimondo(sp?) But in here they have a whole set up of delicious things that you can add to your bowl. Today I had the vegetable fried rice as the foundation. Beef, bean sprouts, spring onions, and their spicy Korean sauce and bulgogi sauce.👌👌 It was served well. It was agenerous portion, quick but not rushed and with the guidance of Jalisa.💚
I ate it there so I could get the feel of the place. So its not very large but they have made good use of the space for seating. It can be a cozy place if you like.
It's clean and there is a TV. It was tuned to the Food Network when I was there.
I like the taste of the bulgogi, but I wouldn't mind it being a bit stronger from the marinade. I also got some of the dumplings, the spicy vegetable, AND DEM THANGS WUZ GUD!!frfr👌👍🖖💯 I had got them to go, caus I was going to eat them for, like an okay snack later; right? So I walked to the bus stop to ride MARTA and decided to try just one before I got on the bus. Sheeit I ate all of em! They were so good! Jalisa was right when she recommended them. It was the 5 piece by the way. It cost About 5 bucks They have a 10 piece also it's about 8 dollars. You can get good healthy food here. Yes vegetarians can do okay here.
This is good for a quick meal. Not sure about lunch time rush, I'll go soon and let...
Read moreI wouldn't recommend this spot. I was literally so uncomfortable and I've been to this place before with minimal issues. But, what I experienced today has completely turned me off. I'm completely offended.
Everything was completely normal, I was greeting by the older gentleman in the kitchen area and filled out all the required information on the order slip. I sat in the lobby and waited with no complaints (things take time and that's okay). However, I felt very uncomfortable after hearing a female host make comments about my afro. She and even joked with the older man in the kitchen about it. It was loud enough for me to hear and completely understand the situation for what it was.
I made eye contact with her when she dropped on my food at the table. I think at this point she was aware that I knew about the conversation, but didn't say anything about it. She told me to sign the receipt and to have a good day.
It's like she didn't even care at all..I asked for my receipt and she referred to me to her colleague as "this lady". I didn't feel welcomed at all and I sure didn't feel comfortable. I just paid and left. I will never place my money in any establishment where don't feel welcomed at all. The entire thing has given me so much anxiety.
It is completely uncalled for to mock someone's apperence
The food was also a lot smaller, than my recent orders. I paid over $13 for my large poke bowl and it looked so small....
