I made time to drive to Sarah Donuts before work today. Their prices are actually less than what I remember paying at Dunkin and Krispy Kreme, and also Quicktrip. A basic donut is only .89, and "fancy" donuts are only 1.29. They have other items including sausage rolls. I bought one glazed plain and one unglazed red velvet. Dough in both of these donuts did taste less sweet than the three shops mentioned above. The sticky glazed coating is extremely sweet though, so avoid anything glazed if you want less sugary taste. The unglazed red velvet was delicious. I didn't have one, but the filled donuts are actually filled when you order. They have a few different flavors on the prep table behind the counter. I didn't think to ask if the fillings are made from scratch or are from cans. Also, if you plan on buying less than $5 worth of donuts, make sure you have cash since there is a minimum charge for cards. The interior of the shop is clean with a lot of seating. They have a case with cold drinks though I already had water. Still unsure how they do enough business to justify closing at 2:30 every day... seems they are losing money by not being open for customers after usual work hours. Rating: ★★★★☆ (would give a fifth start if they'd just stay open longer).

**A Hidden Gem for Donut Lovers!** Sarah’s Donuts in Decatur is an absolute delight for anyone craving fresh, flavorful donuts. From the moment you step inside, you’ll notice how impeccably clean and inviting the bakery is, setting the perfect stage for a great experience. They offer a wide variety of donuts, ensuring that every visitor finds something to love. I personally tried the **glazed, cake, and sour cream donuts**, and each one had its own unique charm. The **glazed donut** was wonderfully light and fluffy, melting in my mouth with just the right amount of sweetness. The **powdered cake donut** delivered that classic, rich cake flavor, perfect for those who love a traditional touch. The **sour cream donut** stood out with its dense, satisfying texture, resembling a rich sour cream cake—heavier than the others but absolutely delicious. Sarah’s Donuts is the kind of locally owned bakery that deserves recognition. Whether you're a longtime fan of donuts or just looking for a sweet treat in Decatur, I highly recommend checking them out!

Better than Sublime and Duck Donuts! This place has the best variety of donuts I have seen in Atlanta. On top of that, the branding at this location was fantastic and it was a very cool space. We got a mixed dozen of normal, fancy, old fashioned, and filled donuts to take back to the family. They were pricey but it could have been worse considering the size of the menu. They also had a cold case with milk! This is a must for any donut place. Although we were there early (before 7AM), the shelves were stocked and customers were flowing in and out while we made up our minds. This should be your first donuts stop in North Atlanta!

I wondered if I wanted to post a review or try to keep this place a secret. These are incredible donuts. Not like the fancy over-the-top donuts that look twice as good as they taste. The sour cream old fashioned--a dream. The cinnamon dusted cake donut, perfectly dense to pair with coffee. The blueberry glazed, bursting with fruity flavor. The jelly filled donut options are so fresh, they don't fill the donuts with the housemade jelly until you order it. I'm not usually a jelly donut person, but after a quick 10 second microwave, I'm a true believer. And the simple glazed donut that is so pillowy and delightfully sweet, it rivals Krispy Kreme, yes I said it. Don't sleep on...
