This Cafe is quite out of our way to reach from our home. We drive over an hour to get there. But it is worth every bit of effort. It's not a fancy location, nor does it have an exclusive air. It seems more like a mom-and-pop kind of place. But the food seems to be authentic, as there are lots of locals that seem to be regulars that eat there. You can get Thai, Vietnamese, and some Chinese dishes here. The bubble tea with tapioca was once one of their main claims to fame. The first place I ever experienced bubble tea was in this restaurant. But that's not the main reason people come. While it may be fun to drink the tea out of a big straw where you can get tapioca balls in each sip, it's the delicious food that brings my husband and me back. I tell myself not to get my same old favorites each time, but I've always been afraid that I would order something from the menu that wasn't as good as I wanted. And since it is such a long drive to get there, I tried to stay with the food that I love best. However, I have found that even when I venture out of my comfort zone, everything I order is great! Now I'm at the point where I don't know what my favorite is anymore. It's all so good. The food is filling and delicious and I love the barbecue pork spring rolls. Whenever I'm near Emory University, or the CDC, this is my go-to place for lunch and or an...
Read moreI want to start this review off by saying. I actually like this place. We come here once a week to support small business. However, today I stopped in to get an order to go soup p3 which is really good. I went to order a small and they told me NO you have to order xlarge only to go. I said I do not want xlarge soup just a small or med pls. He said we only have one size that’s it. He was very rude and disrespectful to a customer who comes and supports this business. He said you can eat inside and get small. I could not eat inside this time because I had a lot of work to complete before Monday morning. And to top it off, the order was wrong when I got home. So everything I ordered which came to 18$ and some change for one person was thrown away also one person could not have eaten an xlarge so wasteful of this place. I even asked I understand you have an xlarge container if you could just put the small into the container that would be perfect. He shrugged his shoulders and told me NO. This was the worst experience I have ever had here. Normally the staff is so nice and accommodating and the pho soup is really good it’s A shame that...
Read moreI really thought hard about leaving this review because my Dad and I actually enjoyed the food here in our previous visits. We always order a couple of appetizers with our meal; one of which being the wings. This time, as I pulled one of the wings apart, I noticed blood. I called one of the waitresses over and showed her. She went back and sent our waiter over. He asked me if I wanted a free ice coffee, I said no but you can bring out another order of the wings. Do you know they came out, check the rest of our wings and brought out a single wing to replace the bleeding one. Lol. I just assumed at the point they planned on taking the wings off our bill but NOPE! Full charge. I finally had to speak up because I was trying to be considerate. When I asked them about charging us for the wings, our waiter said he had to go talk to the manager. He came back and said that the manager told him to take half off which was about $4. You telling me after sending out uncooked food to a customer, you couldn’t take a $8.99 loss? The lack of simple customer service and customer care is the reason I am writing this and won’t be returning....
