Booked 11/23/22-12/23/22 for an extended vacation. I have been a participant in their project not a guest on vacation. There is no housekeeping, I am responsible for paying and washing my linens. The pool is not heated. The faucet water temperature in the room is unmanageable. The beds beyond uncomfortable. I had to purchase a $100 mattress topper. I have to purchase my own toilet paper and garbage bags. I’ve been begging for a refund because my stay has been miserable. The owners do not accommodate or even mention the guests is the most important. They’ve bothered me regularly for their projects to change pictures, hang curtains, and clean the AC filter upon myself asking due to illness. I’m exhausted I have not had one night of full sleep. The room above me above me is being remodeled and I constantly hear them on quiet hours. I’ve begged for a refund and the owners only concern is losing money themselves not the guests unpleasant stay. I advise any person looking for a relaxing vacation to go else where. This is not the relaxing stay I had imagined. I am still currently here and expressed to the owners everything. Unfortunately with a very cold, hard response of “sorry you didn’t get a travel insurer”. Do not book here. There is no refunds. They don’t accommodate.
RESPONDING TO THEIR COMMENT: What is said from the owners is unbelievably condescending. How dare a business insult and fabricate an individual so characteristically, and immorally. I absolutely am not a rude person. I was willing to pay for all things, not understanding the garbage bags and linens. I cannot believe the emotional and continuing problems these owners created for myself. I provided Passport documentation of who came to my room and had very meaningful conversations with the workers. Unfortunately having to communicate and stay in touch with Broward County Clerk of courts with a small claims incident because the owners illegally charged my card after stating with multiple written messages not to. Also unfortunately, be advised their camera footage provides personal visuals as it was directed into the window of the studio. I have never stolen; I am not a thief; nothing was missing. I donated my $100 mattress topper as well as $140 in pool accessories their neighbor hotel offers for free. I hope Pier Walk learns to address their company’s specific accommodations and accomplishments elsewhere than a visitor’s review. As well as to never falsely accuse their customers and do so publicly. As a guest, I got to know their establishment. They did not...
Read moreWe have stayed here at Pierwalk for the past 3 consecutive winters for the months of January and February. This past season, however, was our final year for various reasons. The proximity to the beach is wonderful, however, it is located directly on A1A which has become busier and louder year by year. Sitting by the pool it is so difficult to have a conversation without being interrupted by the motorcycles, dump trucks, and loud exhausts. The windows in the rooms are also old and do nothing for the noise level. Aside from that they are incredibly worn and flat out need to be replaced. All of the rooms that we have stayed in 112, 203, 204, 208, and 206 have a musty smell most likely due to the air conditioning system. It became unbearable at times. When we arrived home the smell permeated off of all of our belongings and clothes that were washed prior to check out. The mattresses with the exception of 112 were absolutely horrible as far as comfort. I will say that in our second year Marco and Danielle were extremely accomodating and rectified the problem in unit 203 by ultimately bringing in a new one. It seems to be the general consensus amongst our extended stay friends that the mattresses are horrible. There are other things that need replacing or updating within the unit, but they were not necessarily deal breakers. They use "dynamic pricing " so it's a crap shoot on if you are going to get a reasonable price. We like to book a year out, and this year we were put off and when we were finally given the price quote it had increased exponentially. This was the final straw for us. We were very loyal quests but didn't feel the reciprocity. There is no first right of refusal either which makes it very difficult to know which room you are going to get or if they will offer a mid stay move. We will attest it is the biggest pain to relocate and we refuse to do it ever again. It's very unfortunate, because over the years we have made very good friends with other extended stay guests. Several are not returning for various reasons and some for the very same reasons we have decided to part ways. The owners are not on premises often at all, and if they are, it's not likely to see them unless you bump into them. Their allstar employee Laura was not there this season, and it was very noticeable! The other staff was nice enough, but she was definitely the glue that held it all together in...
Read moreWe stayed at the Pier Walk after spending an awful night at a ghetto hotel across the street. The Pier Walk was exactly what we needed. It was a studio apartment with kitchen, the perfect size for us. There appeared to be only a couple of other people staying so it was lovely and quiet. The description said it slept three, but I think it would be hard to accommodate three unless one as a small kid. The place was modern and clean with plenty of nice, fresh towels. There was a pool, laundry and vending machine for cold drinks onsite, as well as a grill. The place was very well maintained. The location was absolutely perfect for us, and was so easy to nip around the corner to the beautiful beach. I was thrilled to find they provided beach chairs. I apologize to the owners for breaking a wine glass. Coffee was provided and much appreciated, along with spices. My only complaints were we were on the second floor and a lady was sitting right under where we sat outside (#208) and was smoking. Also, I found it hard to sleep because of the bright lights so I would recommend bringing an eye mask. For the owners I think it would be great if you had a drying rack to hang up towels and also we were looking for oven mitts. I will definitely recommend this to friends and family and hope we can come back soon. Thank you for a lovely time!! Michele...
