I will never ever visit deerfield beach. My first time fishing experience is horrible. I parked my car in a regular lot and paid 2 hours of parking. Then I went to the pier and paid there again parking for 5 hours. The official at the pier told me that today you parked at the regular beach parking but next time park at the pier parking. He did not told me to move the car right away. Based on the official assurance I kept my car there. The official also made a mistake and put a wrong license plate. End result, parking cop gave me a citation since he could not find my plate. I showed him the ticket for 5 hours parking and the cop admitted his mistake, and told me to call the city office next morning. I called and the official was not nice and he thought I was telling lies after lies. I told him I live 60 miles away and explained everything, still he disbelieved me. He gave me another persons name and I call them countless times to settle the matter. Even today I called them and left them a voice mail. Never heard from them. No way around I paid $30 at the last minutes. The officials talked like I made a crime and have to pay for it. If I did I have no excuses, but I paid $30 for something which I did not commit, Very sad experience and moreover they charged $2 extra on the top of $30, why we should pay this. This was my first time fishing, how do I know there are two different parkings, and it end up in such sadly! Also, I saw a girl that night also complaining about a mistake. No idea how many people had a bad experience in this city's beach. Driving for more than 8 year, never had any ticket, always a responsible person and a driver. Paying $30 for something I did not commit is like robbing! I shared my story just o alert...

Another beautiful local beach! When it comes to our beaches, there really is no way to go wrong.

We were here on a Wed. afternoon, so it was nice because it wasn't crowded at all. We found parking in a small lot close to the pier, but I can see where it might be an issue on a busy day. We were able to take a quiet walk and just enjoy being on the beach. Since it was so hot, we weren't able to go out on the pier. There were only a few people fishing, so there was plenty of room to move around.

There were several picnic pavilions, which had thatched roofs. They really blended in much better than the ones I've seen on our other beaches. The thing I didn't like as well is that they are practically sitting on the sidewalk. I didn't see any grassy areas anywhere. Like our other beaches, there is a $14/hr. charge for a single chair and umbrella.

I've read that there is a $1 fee for going out on the pier, which is used to cover things like maintenance of the pier and restrooms. Okay, I can support that. The problem was that I was in the restroom closest to the pier and it was a mess. Not only was it just generally dirty (which I know happens on a beach), but the toilet paper roller didn't work and neither did paper towel dispensers. That's a problem. You don't expect a beach restroom to be spotless, but you do expect it to be functional.

Within a block of the beach area are plenty of places to eat or just shop for kitschy souvenirs, which is always fun.

While this isn't my favorite beach, it's still a really nice place for a...

I've been fishing this Pier for decades and this employee pressure washing pier and deck this morning after I was fishing for hours catching fish in one spot told me I needed to move 100ft up the pier! He was going side to side instead of up and down each side! He sprayed a fisherman directly in the face with the sprayer when he asked what he was doing and when I moved my things I asked him if it was okay where it was and he ignored me, I shouted louder just in case he didn't hear me and no reply! I was only 10 ft away from him! Everyone fishing around me and other side left because of him! I asked him face to face that I guess you can't come here and fish and relax and his reply was No, You Can't! This person should not be working for Deerfield Beach or anywhere with this attitude and you probably lost customer 's From today alone from his antics and physical actions that could have hurt someone and I know that the Management needs to do something about this individual! I'm taking my fishing to another of the piers north and south of Deerfield Pier! It's a shame! I would like to see if someone replies to...

I want to share my story so people be aware of what’s going on with this employee that is not educated about what a service dog is. I went last Tuesday to the pier to walk and I was not allowed to get in with my service dog, I try to talk with this woman about it and she asked me questions about my illness, something cannot be asked by law, she just denied the access, I try to talk to the supervisor and she just shut down the window and never let me read where is not allowed to let service dogs in. I am so disappointed about this situation, honestly I was never treated like that before in my life, she totally ignored me without haven’t fundaments about her decision, and this should not be happening at a beautiful place like this and they should teach all their employees so they stop being rude

Hands down to the most amazing fireworks event in town on 4th of july. Deerfield does it the best. Second year in a row and I’ll do it every year. I walked a little in order to reach to the beach but its worth every step. People singing, blasting music, kids playing. The fireworks show starts at 9:05pm and ends at 9:30pm but they normally starts at 4:00pm like if you want to buy food, clothes, drinks. Its very hard to find a parking but you’d find one for sure. A massive crowd but there are cops in every corner. Felt safe but you will still need to watch for yourself, family and friends. Just to be safer. If your friends are in town on the 4th. This is a great entertainment. I definitely recommend.

Went here for a day of bait fishing with friends. We got lucky and had a beautiful day ahead of us, with barely any clouds after sunrise. The water was so blue and clear, we were able to see all the fish swimming around. We even saw a ray, 3 sea turtles, and a few barracudas. We also caught a bunch of bait as well with the squid we bought from the receptionist! There were also a lot of boats near us, but security was on top of it. The other fishermen near us were kind and respectful. The only con is that parking near the dock is way too little. We arrived at 5:30am, 30min before the dock opened, but it started to fill up around 6:00am. Be warned, otherwise you pay for parking at the garage.
