We stayed in Homewood Suites by Hilton Denton Texas on January 24 to the 26. We arrived the 24 around 2am-2:30pm we travel from Houston to Denton for Business. The 25 we got some breakfast and we left the hotel around 8am. The 26 we return the keys and left the hotel approximately around 10:30am-11am after dropping off the keys I stayed to get some tea that it was offered at the front desks.
We notice the same day at night that we were charge $86+ and $6 extra. I call the hotel Monday and the front lady tells me that she didn’t know what the $6 was for but that the $86+ was a pet fee. A PET WE NEVER HAD! She then tells me management will contact me regarding this confusion. It’s going to be a week already and I call today (2/2/25) Friday to ask what’s going on with the charges and why we haven’t received a refund. The front desk lady tells me that the charges was posted by the manager and she can’t removed them and that manager will contact me whenever they have time. It is obviously that the hotel have cameras in the halls etc I want to know where I arrived and left with a pet? I provide with the specific times for the hotel to check the cameras. I understand that they may be a confusion but it is unacceptable that management is taking it lightly and will call me if they do call me whenever they have time. This behavior is Unprofessional and sadly I won’t stay in this location ever again despite us going there for...
Read moreI arrived and stayed 3 nights to visit family: Overall cleanliness of lobby and breakfast area: 5 out of 5 stars Friendliness and helpfulness of staff: 5 out of 5 stars Room was clean, carpet in very good condition, no odors, bathroom worked well including shower and toilet. This suite had a 2-burner induction cook top and a big refrigerator. The kitchen area was clean and well-maintained. Room: 5 out of 5 stars Facilities: pool not open (this was in December). If they have an exercise room, I did not use it. Facilities: not rated Breakfast: The area was clean and spacious, the staff working the buffet were friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast itself lacked a bit. The hot food while I was there included scrambled eggs with and without ham, hash browns, and either bacon or sausage. They had the usual waffle maker, muffins, bagels, cereal and some fruit. The main issues, for me, were: no hot oatmeal - the only oatmeal was the little quick oatmeal packs that you put in a bowl and add hot water, no fresh hard-boiled eggs instead there were little packets of 2 peeled eggs like you might find in a refrigerator case. The coffee was very good: Breakfast: 3+1/2 out of 5 stars.
Overall, I would stay here again the next time I come to Denton. Overall: 4 + 1/2 out of 5 stars. Note that I am not comparing this to a luxury hotel where you would pay...
Read moreBeware of booking at this hotel for a wedding in a 2 bedroom suite if you really want one. I had a reservation booked on 1-15-19 as the mother of the bride for my daughter's wedding and had specific plans for that space. This hotel had over 50 rooms booked for our wedding as well as conference rooms for the weekend and 10 days before the wedding they kicked me out of my reservation due to what they told me was a family that was displaced since the summer. I felt they waited until it was too late for us to move our business to a different hotel. They forgot that they had given me a tour of the actual suite I was supposed to be staying in on November 22nd at which time this 2 bedroom suite was vacant. They called me and made it sound like they were doing me a favor by giving me 2 rooms right next to each other, which is definitely not the same. After much heated discussion on my part they comped the 2 rooms. I was unaware that this could happen so beware of booking here for an important occasion. Huge disappointment that flowers and cookies cannot...
