Unicorn DONUTS & Cafe — Restaurant in Denton

While I like that this place has more reasonable prices than many donut shops these days, I've yet to be wowed by the donuts themselves. The filled ones are pretty solid, but I think that's mostly to do with the fact that you've two elements (filling and icing) hiding the donut's base cake. The handful of times my household has ordered from Unicorn, the donuts have had a day-old taste. The sour cream cakes are chalky in the mouth. The apple fritters have been overcooked. And most of the specialty donuts (cereal, M&Ms, etc.) have been bland. I've had worse experiences. The donut holes and small sausage rolls land like you'd expect of the average donut shop. And again, the prices are good. But there's a lot of basic mixed with subpar...

The Unicorn 🦄 DONUTS & Cafe is a wonderfully unique and vibrant little treasure in our community! They make kids happy, and they make amazing donuts! Donuts come in both classical and specialty varieties, as you'll see in the photos. Smiles are inevitable. I'm so impressed with the quality of the food, but much moreso with the love that the owners have poured into every square inch of the store, and into every interaction we share when I stop by with my family. This local business blends all of these terrific traits with authentic Korean sweeteners that make the donuts an even more unique pleasure to share with friends. I don't eat donuts often, but when I do, this is where I go! I can't recommend...

I just Want to thank unicorn donuts for making my daughters birthday donuts so special yesterday! So it was my first time ever ordering one of these and I didn’t specify the icing or toppings that I wanted on the donuts so they went ahead and made me the fancy ones which included some marshmallows and breakfast cereals on top of them and we don’t really like those at my house so I asked them if they would fix it for me and just give me a regular frosting like chocolate and sprinkles. they happily remade them they even gave me a partial refund because it turned out that I really wanted was cheaper than what they had already made and they were so nice about it and really pleasant...
