Rico Pollo — Restaurant in Denver

Rule number one for any restaurant is (Sanitation). The food was okay. Not fresh like other rico pollos. The restaurant was disgusting.. it was so dirty. When you first walk into a restaurant and see the main front doors dirty and then inside the windows all around had finger prints and food from years before stuck on it, god know what the kitchen looks like.. gross. Rule number one for restaurants, the first thing customers see is your front door for god sake clean your damn windows.. no wonder why no one was eating in and most customers were taking it to go.. I will for sure not come back to this location because it literally made me gag.. while I was sitting in a booth next to a window. I love Rico polo but for the first time ever I didn’t even eat...

Based on my first experience today, this is nothing short of a five star establishment. Yeah, it's a bit rundown on the inside, but kitchen looks clean. I'm all about sanitation. Still would give 6⭐️ if I could. The chicken quesadilla was simply loaded and delicious. A side of guac was very kindly price, and the hot wings that I ordered (extra crispy), we're just about the best I've ever had. A+++++++plus. Kind and accommodating server. It's obvious from the entrées to the sides that these folks are interested in giving their very best. Man, haven't boasted about a restaurant this much for a while. Rico Pollo has a new lifelong...

I ordered the half chicken which typically consist of 4 pcs of chicken (breast & wing, leg & thigh). Unfortunately I only received 1 thigh chopped in 3 pcs, 1/2 breast & a chicken leg. So I basically only got a 1/4 dark & 1/2 of a breast. Where’s the wing? Not even a “whole” 3 pcs of chicken; since the thigh was chopped in 3 pcs, they consider it 5 pcs. of chicken or half a chicken. The breast wasn’t served whole….it was also chopped in 1/2. The flavor was tasty but the portions are horrible. Take your money elsewhere if you’re expecting large portions or at least the portions...
