If I could leave a 0, I would. My husband I arrived at this hotel on Monday Feb. 5th around 7:00 pm. We went to check in at the front desk, where we waited for a lady to come out chewing and swallowing food. We told her we were there to check in. Rooms 18 and 19 were assigned to us. The lady, which I won't mention no names, had absolutely no personality. She had a blank stare and talked the least amount she could to us. After receiving our key carda, My husband and I drove around the hotel to our rooms. We unloaded our stuff while we were waiting for our daughter and her boyfriend to arrive. All four of us was there on a business conference for two days. After unloading our suitcases we drove to Chili's restaurant to meet our daughter and boyfriend for a late dinner due to them arriving about and hour later than us. We ate dinner, stopped at Target and went back to the hotel. After arriving back, LIKE EVERYONE DOES, WE CHECKED OUR BED FOR BUGS, HAIR AND SO ON. My daughter and I started on room 18 first and oh my goodness......when I pulled back the top cover our bed was saturated in urine. The sheet, bed cover and mattress. Of course, it was dried and absolutely disgusting! I immediately called the front desk and told this same lady and of course I was given attitude right off the bat. She told me if I wanted sheets I needed to come to the front desk and get them. I told her "No, she needed to come to our room and look at what was left behind. While we were waiting for her to arrive we started going over everything else including room 19 and OMG I didn't think it could get worse! She finally arrived and I had the top cover pulled off on to the floor. She walked right over to it and instantly accused me...she said you have been here all evening and you are just now complaining..I said our bed is absolutely disgusting and I want new sheets..she went on to blame me saying I urinated in the bed before we left for dinner and was blaming the hotel staff for not cleaning our room. She said we only have to King rooms and we only have the sheets that are on the bed...we have no more sheets..she said she would move me to a room with a double bed...A double bed from a King...I said no we want clean sheets..she said no she is not making good on us urinating in the bed. I asked her about all the candy bar chocolate, which I was assuming that is what it was cause I found Reese cup wrappers under mattress, she proceeded to cut me off and said these rooms are inspected by 3 staff members before guest are allowed in the rooms. I told her I wanted to speak to the owner..she left and came back 5 min. Later and said the owner has asked you to leave or I will call authorities. I was recording her and our conversation. I told her absolutely I will not leave..we done nothing wrong..she said you will leave or I will call authorities. Remind you the 4 of us are there on a business conference that has over 5,000 people attending this event. All hotels were booked! I told her to call the law because I am too..This rude lady was kicking us out because I asked for clean sheets. I told her I will show the video to authorities. She left and came back with her personal cell phone with the owner on the phone. He asked me what was going on, I told him our sheets, bed coverings we're saturated in urine and we asked for clean linens and she started accusing us and being extremely rude. He told her get them clean sheets now and she was not following proper procedure of the hotel. She stormed off and came back 10 min. Later with clean linens. I want to say there was huge piles of human hair in the shower, crickets, dirt, pubic hairs, brown fluids all over the wall in bathroom, dirt all over mattress, candy wrappers under mattress in drawers, dirt particles all over sheets, dead bugs on dresser with pop or something spilled over it. I tried to find another hotel that night. I called 10 other hotels and no one could accommodate us. We were forced to stay there or sleep in our trucks in the cold. I have never felt so disgusted in the way I...
Read moreFor starters we had a new employee help us with check in. He was perfectly nice, but still seemed very nervous, he claimed it was his first day. He also asked another employee about our room being “dirty” in front of us which was a little off-putting. He then proceeded to give us strange directions to our room which ended up being wrong and had to be corrected by another employee.
The room itself was okay, has very basic amenities. Nothing to write home about but it was sufficient for what we needed (two overnights).
We went to go check out their pool which seemed well maintained for the most part but we were constantly getting attacked by beetles. I understand it’s an outside pool in the summer but I was an aquatics director for three years during the summers at an Olympic sized pool and we didn’t nearly have this many problems. Maybe some traps, or some better deterrents would help with the issue.
We get back to the room, take a shower and when we come out, I notice there’s a camera on top of the tv pointed right at the bed. I’m sure there’s some reasoning behind this but the fact that it wasn’t mentioned at all, again, was a little off putting.
We went to their included “breakfast” in the morning where there was bagels, cereal, oj, milk, and coffee. Needless to say, we left somewhere so that we could eat an actual meal.
Finally when we left this morning we put a do not disturb sign up and saw the cleaning lady walk in as we were leaving. The couple next to us had also put up their sign. She went into both rooms, disregarded the sign, and took care of the rooms anyway.
Not only did she ignore the sign but the “cleaning” was done very poorly and there was still trash left from before we got here.
The location is a nice proximity to Hershey Park but there are plenty of hotels that have nice proximity to the park. I recommend spending your money at...
Read moreI booked this hotel using my Delta SkyMiles points. The cost was over $600 for two nights. I chose this hotel because it stated that it was smoke free and from the pictures that were on the website it looked clean. Upon arrival my husband and I questioned if this was the same hotel that we booked because the pictures on the website didn’t match what the facade looked like on the outside. When I walked in to the front desk I showed them the picture and asked if this was the same place, John at the desk responded that it was a “stock photo”. Right I away I knew I was scammed with this place. I was given a paper to sign without even being shown a hotel room. Once I got to the room I saw that it was old with crakes in the ceiling and walls and did not match the pictures presented on the website along with an immediate smell of smoke and mildew. I walked out onto the balcony to find a cup full of cigarettes buds (as shown in the photo I attached). I immediately went back to the front desk to complain about the room. They went to check on it and confirmed the smoke smell and cigarettes out in the balcony. Then they tried to rectify it by changing our room two doors down. It still smelled the same of smoke and mildew. I have a child who has severe allergies and refused to have her sleep in a dirty place like that and risk her coughing all night and getting sick from it. This place had no manager present and this person was “unavailable” as I was trying to get a refund for our stay because of the conditions of this place. There was no phone number or email address for the manager. I was absolutely scammed and am furious with how they handled this. If you’re considering staying here I would run in the other direction. We did not stay as it was not possible to sleep in...
