White Rose Motel — Hotel in Derry Township

I’m not sure who wrote these reviews stating the rooms were clean but ours most certainly was not. We checked in Friday 9/13 @8pm and received room 207. Upon entering we felt and smelled a muggy and musty room. The floors were not clean, as we could see dried water marks from old spills. The bathroom had a pink colored soap scum or mold buildup all along the grout and caulking lines like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The baseboards all had a grime build up too and the smell of urine in the bathroom was strong. We noticed a lot of dead bugs along the bed closest to door and we immediately left. No way was I bringing luggage in or was I about to lay in the beds. We left and called around for vacancies and found a room elsewhere. I called the front desk of the white rose and told them we weren’t returning and would not be staying there. He said he would check the room and when we called back he said the room was fine. Umm it absolutely was not fine and I told him we clearly had different opinions on what clean was. They wouldn’t refund anything so now I’m placing a claim w our bank. No one should have to stay in such filth. It must be new ownership or something bc I cannot believe these reviews. Prob the worst place I’ve ever...

Despite what they advertise, the rooms are NOT clean. We arrived Friday 9/13 and the given room 207. The room was humid and smelled musty. The laminate floors were not clean and there were obvious stains of what looked like spills on the floor. Several dead bugs on the floor by the bed. The bathroom was filthy. There was pink mold or soap scum (idk) all along the tub grout lines and the baseboards had grime build up where they met the floors. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine. We left immediately and begin checking availability of other places and booked the Hershey lodge. This place is NOT clean!!! We called and told the staff we wouldn’t be returned and why. They refused to issue a refund and stated “there is nothing wrong with the room”. We said there is obviously a difference in opinions on cleanliness bc that room is not clean by any means!! I’ve never had to do this before and hopefully never will again. These reviews of the room being so clean have to be fake. Wish I would’ve taken pics but we wanted to get out of there asap! The never issued a refund and I will be places a fraud complaint w the credit card. No one should have to stay in a dirty room w bed dead’s littered...

If your looking to have fun after 8pm this place is not for you! If your looking not to be spied on from the time you walk in till you turn off lights then this place is not for you! If your looking to have a few beers and smoke outside where permitted and be friendly to others then this place is not for you! If you like friendly service and phone manners this place is not for you! When I made reservations the owner was rude, which should have been first clue this place was not for me! When we got their Owner was rude and watched us the entire time taking are things in which should have said this place was not for me! When we sat outside to smoke and have a few beers the owner was watching every move we made again not the place for me! When I said hello to others and asked how their day at hershey park was, and went to bed at 9pm, a knock at our door and yep you guessed it, I was told to leave, not the place for me!
