Stayed here at the end of January to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary. Apparently, this place was a hotel as recently as 2023 but it sounds like it didn't make it so they turned it into a rental property. The concept of renting a whole hotel is great...with 4 families, each one got it's own rooms including a bathroom. It's a great idea but a place like this needs daily maintenance and upkeep. ||First off, the pool needs to be maintained daily buy a pool technician...someone who knows how to work an intricate system like this one. We paid $100 for the pool to be heated each day but when we showed up, not only was the pool cold but so was the hot tub! We fought with the temperature every day we were there. The hot tub would all of a sudden just drain...be empty for a few hours and then fill back up again. Again, a hotel pool has someone on staff to maintain the pool...this place does not have that. We called APEK Rentals (property manager) and they were less than helpful. They sent over a pool technician who also didn't know how to work the system. In 4 days, the pool was serviced by a company 1 time. APEK did nothing but credit a couple of the days we paid to heat the pool. ||Renting it as a VRBO, you expect to have living space but unfortunately, outside of the kitchen and the outdoor area (which was nice), there wasn't a congregating space. Also, without daily maintenance, there were things broken all over the place. The sinks in 3 of the rooms were leaking. The showers were a really poor design with hardly any water pressure. None of the door codes worked so we were fumbling with keys the whole time which was annoying. The front gate slammed shut and the plate with the door code fell off every time.||Also, there are hidden steps throughout the main area leading from the kitchen down the hall to the one set of bedrooms. Almost every one of us tripped or didn't see the steps. 2 people, including my 81 year old father, fell and sustained injuries. My father was not comfortable the whole time as we he was worried about falling. We ended up finding painters tape and taped up the steps for all of us to see them. Not the way you want to spend a family reunion.||Also, the location is not great. Basically, don't leave the grounds. I hate to say that but it's sketchy outside at best. Spend the extra $100 a night and stay in Palm Springs.||I do not recommend staying here. For the money we paid, I expected it to be...
Read moreMy recent stay at the Yucca was nothing short of magical! I am SO impressed by the way that Heart Core hotels seamlessly marries luxury and eco-friendliness. Between the attention to detail in the decor, the super-comfy bedding, and the picturesque views of the mountains, I was in heaven. I even had my breakfast on a floating pool tray (a great photo op!). The vegan breakfast alone is a reason to stay at the Yucca. I have never had such a good breakfast at a hotel and I’m not even vegan myself. But my favorite amenity has to be the mineral pool. I loved being able to take a dip surrounded by the olive trees and mountains, and the stargazing from the mineral hot tub in the evenings is to die for. It's the ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring Joshua Tree. The hotel's great location offered me easy access to both the nature scenes of Joshua Tree National Park and the vibrant energy of Palm Springs. It would also be perfect for a Coachella stay!
Lastly, it's impossible not to mention the palpable love and dedication that the owners, Tony and Gaby, have poured into this property. Their passion for sustainability shines through every aspect of the hotel, and their warm hospitality adds an extra layer of charm to the overall experience. You can really feel the love they’ve poured into the property. This eco-friendly vegan gem in the heart of the desert is the...
Read moreWhere to even begin? This place is an oasis tucked perfectly between Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. The minute you step inside the front gate it feels like you’ve come home. Gaby and Tony are the epitome of what any great host should be. They are responsive, attentive and really sweet. To top it off their dog Sushi is the sweetest love bug. The room was spacious, well organized and clean. The pool and jacuzzi are heated which allows for night swims too. The breakfast was phenomenal and each morning we got something different but equally as delicious. We were able to book a massage in our room which made the weekend extra special. To top it off they made my wife’s birthday an incredible experience. Only regret is not utilizing the fitness room which had a peloton in addition to other equipment. Hard to capture the vibe and relaxation this place provides. We will definitely be coming back here! Do yourself a favor and book a weekend at this...
