It was Friday night my spouse and I were excited to try this new restaurant. We entered the restaurant and the aroma was wonderful. My stomach started growling immediately. Our excitement grew in anticipation of an amazing meal. Our optimistic mood was very short lived. The server started out strong but the downward spiral was drastic caused by a simple distraction of patrons she must have known. She stood at their table for an excessive period of time talking to the other patrons as if they were family. The entire time she held our drink order inin her hand. The customers she seemed to know came in after us ordered after us but somehow their drinks arrived long before ours. We had to call a passing server and let him know we were ready to order and had not received our drinks or chips and salsa. As our original server never acknowledged our menues at the edge of the table which is the universal signal for "we're ready to order". When the drinks did come they got it wrong. It was the first time our server had engaged us since the initial interaction. She came by the table and made me feel as though she was trying to blame me for the drink order being wrong. Her approach was more confrontational than conciliatory. Our chil basket as never refilled our drinking was never refilled nor did the server once approach our table to offer either courtesy. My spouse and I remained in hopes of salvaging an evening That quickly became unpleasant. However when the food Arrived it was more than either of us could ensure. My spouses soup arrived Long after the main course and only because we stopped and asked why had the soup not been served. . I ordered the fajitas combo beef chicken and shrimp. It arrived at the table by itself. No no beans tortillas no sour cream or guacamole. Again we had to prod the server to bring the full meal. While waiting on the rest of my meal to arrive I noted I noticed the handle sleeve of my fajitas was filthy. Upon closer inspection of the handle sleeve I saw what looked like hairs on the handle and some on the food. t that point I was done. I told the server I will not eat that and to take it back. I refused any replacement meals because I could not count on the health standards of this establishment. Plus the staff was still being aggressive and rude I I did not trust them to handle my food in fear they would intentionally contaminate my food. At one point another employee came to our table

Where this Mexican restaurant really shines is the atmosphere. I absolutely love the Chairs with the paintings on them. The atmosphere makes one really feel like in Mexico. The food is consistently good but this time I was wondering about the guacamole. The color the consistency and all did not seem like it was homemade and fresh. Now don't get me wrong opening up a package with powder and ingredients and all mixed with water and mixing that in a bowl does not make it home made. I'm not saying that's what they did but it sure tasted like it. I will correct myself next time I go there if I am wrong and update this review. I had the chili Colorado this time and it was pretty good but not as good as I expected for this very popular Mexican restaurant. I did enjoy it but as a real chilly Colorado addict I had many versions in many different countries and places and this one is not the best but still good to eat and I will definitely order it again. Be aware chips to salsa they hand you before the meal is to my taste a bit spicy but good taste. It was a little hard to get a smile out of the waitress but once I got the smile she showed off her beauty. May I say Latina beauty? The bathrooms are also clean every time I go there. Pricing is pretty fair here but definitely not cheap but also not expensive. In my opinion when you order the $3 addition to your plate with rice and beans that should be more rice because there was not enough however after eating the whole plate plus the chips and salsa I was pretty fool and happy. I do recommend this place even though not everything is the best at times but the food is consistently good and atmosphere is just amazing.

In from out of town and wanted to try something different for breakfast - saw this as an option and was very grateful as the food was very good, flavorful and cooked just right. The waitress was kind, polite and surprised us when she brought us warm crispy tortilla chips along with their from-scratch, in-house made, salsa. Wasn't aware that accompanied a breakfast service, but who could ever be opposed to chips and salsa? Chips were traditional, tasty on their own even, warm, crispy and salsa was full-bodied w good zing. Ordered a bottle of champagne and orange juice carafe for mimosas to accompany the Burrito de Machaca con huevo (shredded beef burrito w eggs, bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, beans, and cheese) which tasted even better with their hot sauce that's at every table👌it was re-sauced for every bite 💯 I saw some other reviews regarding the slow service, and I encourage people to see the perspective from the other side of the interaction with fewer people willing to come to work since this time last year, their responsibilities for helping prep and make all their in-house salsas, mixes and other concoctions - be kind, unless it truly was blatantly egregious. I don't care what people say about speed of service, especially when it comes to sit-down service, this place is good at what they do, if you want faster service, take your less than perfect review off here and go to Taco Bell.

We went into Casa Blanca Desert Hot Springs and they were moderately busy for a Tuesday. We sat down at our table. We received chips and salsa within 5 minutes. Unfortunately we never saw our server. We were there for another 15 minutes. There was also another couple of tables that came in after us that also were waiting. . I finally got up from my table and asked a server and she had no idea that we hadn't been taken care of. She said that she would try to find someone to help us. I then knocked on the managers door. A gentleman answered and then I asked him if he was the manager. He replied yes he was. I told him that we had been waiting a long time for service. His reply was that he couldn't help and that we would have to wait and be patient because the restaurant is busy. I said why can't you help. He said that he needed to do stuff in his office. I then said if your the manager and your supposed to care about your customers then why don't you get out of your office. He said that he doesn't care about my needs and that I would have to wait or go to another restaurant. So I chose to dine with another restaurant. I will not ever go to Canada Blanca. I later called the Cathedral City location and asked about the manager Juan and how I was treated and they told me that he wasn't the manager, instead he was the owner. So please beware of this establishment. The owner obviously doesn't care about good customer service. Please take your...
