In April 2024, I had the pleasure of spending one night at the Winsther Motel, as I had come to DeWitt to visit relatives after driving from Massachusetts -- but I had arrived a bit early before my cousins were ready to receive me. I was quite impressed both by the cleanliness of the room, the quantity & quality of available towels -- as well the abundance of no-cost amenities, such as chocolates on the desk, in-room refrigerator, complete morning-coffee stuff, decent TV with a wide selection of channels w/reclining chair, etc. The staff was accommodating, polite & responsive as well. ||These are the sorts of accoutrement one would expect at a $225/night urban hotel but not in a small, inexpensive establishment, where a single occupancy room w/queen-size bed cost a mere $65 a night! Read moreWe were coming to the area for an antique show and wanted to check out the shops in the DeWitt area. We found this little motel with really reasonable rates. At first, I scrolled on by thinking the rates were low for a reason. Boy, was I wrong. After reading the other reviews, we decided to give it a chance. The room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, we received coupons for a free ice cream cones on arrival, the location was easy to get to and close to the downtown area. The only drawback for me was the low toilet since I am an older person. We stayed in the Nascar room which my husband loved. Will definitely stay here again if we are...
Read moreWe were on a weekend drive and ready for a break for the evening, and found this surprising little gem. The room was spotlessly clean and really cute. I think maybe the rooms have different themes. Ours was a patriotic theme. Really sweet. All of the towels and bedding felt brand new. The owners are super nice people. There is an antique shop, restaurants, and even a small town ice cream shop within a few minute walk. The downtown has a nice grocery for making a picnic too. We will defiantly stay here again a couple of more times this summer and fall. This is an exceptional place. Can't wait...
