Golden Wok — Restaurant in DeWitt

Stopped here for dinner with my son. The place was completely empty, so seating wasn't an issue. You place your order at the counter and they give you a square disk with your number on it, that vibrates when your food is done. Ours was #7, which was puzzling since we were the only customers in the place. Unless #1 thru #6 were hiding 😂. Anyways, the food was okay. A little pricey for being mediocre, if you ask me. I ordered broccoli with beef & shrimp and a can of soda. My son got House lo mein, an order of crab ragoons, and a glass of tap water. The total came to $36.86. The receipt only showed the total amount spent, so I have no idea what I was charged for each individual item. One thing I will say, if you need to use the bathroom....hold it! The bathroom was disgusting! Urine and hair on and around toilet! Kinda makes me wonder what their kitchen looks like since the bathroom...

The servers were nice and the food was ok overall. My dish was lacking in flavor and spice. It was supposed to be hot "spicy" but I couldn't detect any heat. I asked for some chili sauce which most Chinese places carry. They didn't have any but they did bring out some chili oil which was only mildly spicy. The egg rolls were good but probably the smallest egg rolls I've ever seen. Another guest at our table ordered a vegetable only dish with no meat but there was chicken in it. The server assured us there was no meat in it however there was in fact chicken in it. Luckily this person was not a strict vegetarian so she just picked out the meat. The servers were otherwise very kind and I feel bad for only giving it two stars but I honestly can't say I would...

Average chinese food and fast service but have advertised on Google that they have a dine in option... They do not. Dine in option would be nice but either way make sure your marketing is truthful. Been ordering here for 10 months and hasn't had a dine in option the whole time...

Update. Dine in open but no service other than cooking. Plastic silverware and cafeteria trays. No one comes to your table. Ran like a fast food establishment. Very disappointing. Thought it was another real restaurant option but no real dining...
