Texas Inn Donna — Hotel in Donna

We decided to give a new place a try when visiting Donna and ended up reserving at the Texas Inn. We ended up getting a refund on the room reserved due to the disgusting smell of not only the first room but the second room that was offered. The furniture was not clean and the bedspread and dust ruffle had stains that I would not even want to guess what they were. There were nasty droplets of something on the floor, so obviously no mopping was done between guests, and a sticker from the guests before us was still on the couch. Greasy stains on the couch showed that a cleaning had not been attempted. Fortunately, the girl who we spoke with about the condition agreed about the smell and gave us a refund. Her mother, on the other hand, did not want to give the refund. I would not suggest this place to anyone that requires...

No customer service, extremely unprofessional staff. Owners need to hire respectful members for their facility. Front desk staff require people skills and anger management. Don't utilize this facility if your looking to use the amenities sponsored. Front desk individual expressed her thoughts as follows " you people need to leave, you have a city pool for cheaper" "I'm calling the police because I'm sure person's like you are trouble" All in all this has been by far the worst encounter with Wyndham affiliated hotel.

My wife and I stayed here in June of 2021 for a funeral. Spacious clean rooms, with a modern touch on the inside.

Lots of tile.

Hotel needs to hire more staff, but that would increase prices. I prefer low price, so you just have to be patient.

The water taste like it has lots of iron or rust. But that might be the local water supply in Donna ? Travellers should always filter any tap-water that they drink, so that is not the motels fault.

If you are lucky, you can see your car through the peep-hole in the door.

Nice picnic area out back.

I will stay here on all my future trips to south Texas.
