We have stayed at this location many times in the past and until now my experience was pleasant. This time it was totally different from times before. We checked in on Monday 7-22-24 staying for the week to check out on Saturday7-27-24 in room 104. We were in town for our annual churches Holy Convocation and fellowship. We had services every night of the week and also morning service. Monday night we went to service had an awesome time in service, came back to turn in, rest up and be back at service 10:30am Tuesday morning. Upon getting prepared to go to service Tuesday morning, my wife went out side to get something from the vehicle and found that my 2020 gmc Denali 3500 Hd had been stolen. We called the authorities and they came out to do an investigative report. They asked for camera footage and the Hotel staff that was in charge stated that there was no footage. We then found out that not only my truck was taken but someone’s else vehicle as well. With no video of the crime the police in my opinion were hindered from being able to probably do their job. This was a slap in the face and I know that I can’t blame the hotel for what thieves do but an establishment of this caliber should have had video footage. Also as we were trying to grasp what has happened and get a rental vehicle, I begin to notice there was a pungent odor like the smell of mildew in the room. We then notified the front desk of this issue that we may be moved to another room and was told they would send the maintenance personnel and they never showed. We called back and asked to speak to the Manager was told there wasn't one available, we left word that we needed to speak with them and never received a call or any acknowledgment at all from management, neither maintenance. We where there the entire week and never got any reply or response at all on either issue. In my opinion, I believe that the personal on the night shift is in cahoots with the bandits. I went to the front desk just to ask for water and was talk to in a manner that made me want to get out of my character. This was a horrible experience, if you lodge at this facility take in consideration that your valuables could be stolen and your room not up to Code standards, and no one would care at all either way. I will never bring my wife, son and granddaughter to this farce of a...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but after this experience, I feel compelled to share my story. This was supposed to be my last big trip to watch my kids play in a basketball tournament before my breast cancer surgery, which is coming up in less than two weeks. Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from what I expected.
After spending the entire day at the tournament, I returned to the hotel, exhausted and eager to get some rest. But within moments of lying down in bed, I felt bites on my arm. I immediately turned on the light and found bed bugs. This is one of my biggest fears when staying in hotels. It was around 11 p.m., so I quickly grabbed my kids and went to the front desk. I showed the hotel staff both my arm and pictures of the bed bugs, and requested a refund. Unfortunately, the front desk clerk said he couldn’t issue a refund and that I would have to speak to his manager, Karen, on Monday.
The only solution the clerk offered was moving to another room, but he said they were fully booked, and even suggested calling nearby hotels – which were also booked. I was too uncomfortable to stay, so I made the difficult decision to drive 6 hours home in the middle of the night, with no sleep, and with my kids. I was so concerned about the bed bugs that I ended up throwing most of our bags away when I got home.
On Monday, I spoke to Karen, who was very polite but explained that since I booked through a third party, she could not issue a refund. I was told to contact the third-party booking service, which did reach out to the hotel. However, the hotel refused to confirm my situation, so the third-party company would not issue a refund. Now, I’m out almost $300, did not get to watch my kids play in their basketball finals, and have had to deal with the trauma of bed bugs.
I truly expected more empathy and support from the hotel, especially given the circumstances. Unfortunately, I received none, and this has been an incredibly frustrating and...
Read moreI stayed here for two weeks on a business trip. The room was excellent and perfect for a work trip. That’s where the great review ends. The location is very middle-of-the road; close to an interstate but not much is around. Now for the bad… I checked in as a diamond member and was not recognized as one or received any gift on check-in. One night, I had an interaction with the night auditor who made me feel as though I was a great burden for him to help at midnight. I tried to have breakfast here twice, both times with 2+ hours breakfast hours ended. The first time, they had biscuits but the gravy was dried to a thick brown skin. The second time, the gravy looked edible but they were out of biscuits. I asked if more biscuits would be put out and simply received a, “no” with no explanation. Someone else asked for more waffle batter and was met with the same response. The sausage is so dehydrated that it looks like ginger root. The potato bits were raw in the center. Out of orange juice and shredded cheese as well. Honestly, the team here needs a lot more training/oversight and the breakfast should be either dismantled or reduced down to a cold, continental breakfast with room rates lowered for this sorry excuse of a breakfast. I didn’t bother wasting time on the subpar breakfast and service and had to eat out for breakfast for the...
