I had a situation where I ordered room service. And they did not bring any condiments for breakfast in the bag. They only had mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup packets. Being that there is an upcharge of 20% plus a $5 service fee for them to deliver food to your room, I attempted to reach out to the staff at the restaurant. When I finally go someone on the phone, I reiterated the fact that I had paid the 20% plus the service fee, and if I had to walk down to get my own condiments, I could have walked down to get my breakfast too. The hispanic lady who had just brought my food up proceeds to tell me that if I told her, then she would tell them I was smoking marijuana in the room and immediately hung up. In a rush, I continued putting on my clothes to go downstairs and speak to management. Upon getting to the restaurant, the woman who had said that to me on the phone began leaning across the counter and smiling at me as I told her boss what had happened. She began antagonizing me to the point where I began video recording the entire incident. I was led to another man who lied about being the supervisor, and he began spazzing about how hard his job was and how he had to handle the front area all by himself. After telling him what happened, his response was, "So what? Do you just need syrup or something?" The same woman that walked me to him to speak comes back out from the back area and makes him go back to the back so she can handle it. She tells me that she is contacting her supervisor and that it will be a minute. She secretly called the police and tried to lie and tell them 4 dangerous people were in the lobby. Not once had they asked me to leave. They couldn't because I wasn't yelling or being belligerent. The police arrived and made me leave the premises. I have never been treated so poorly at a Doubletree or Hilton location. This experience left me feeling less than human. No one should ever be left to feel this way. I am deeply upset and saddened by...

Read moreBeing a low level employee at my company, I get forced to stay at the hotel of my company's choosing. Normally, that would be a negative and in most cases, it is. Some of the places we stay at frequently, we have nicknamed the Shining, and the Bates Motel. So, it was nice to finally get sent to a hotel that I would actually chose myself, if given a choice. Room is clean and comfortable, AC in room 244 has a bit of an occasional rattle when the compressor runs, but hey, I have a dog at home that snores, so no biggie for me. Probably could use a customer tutorial on which thermostat to actually use, the one on the wall in my room doesn't seem to do jack But, the "Use the thermostat on the wall" cover was already pulled of the AC unit, and laying on top of it, so I think I figured it out. The restaurant has pretty darn good food, and the staff are great. My company picks up the food tab, so I'm not going to complain one bit. Had one minor overcharge last trip by a new restaurant server, and the restaurant manager comp'd me a beer, more than covering the oops. I like beer. Shuttle drivers have been friendly, and I asked Donald where to pick-up some legit local BBQ sauce for a friend back home, and he was happy to help. Sounds like it's outside of shuttle range, so I guess I have to Uber it to get there. I'm a pretty simple guy, I like a shower that has hot water, and stays that way, check. I don't want everyone walking by the room to sound like a marching band doing drills, and really don't want to have a clue what the people in the nearby rooms are doing. Ice machine is only 20 feet away and I don't hear it. Haven't been in the pool, but it looks nice. Free Wi-FI works, and according the signs in the lobby, they are...
