I usually do not eat donuts, but Carolina Glazed Donuts is an exception. I love the smell of freshly baked donuts in the mornings when I stop in to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings.
There are a few tables on the sides for seating and the morning crowd is their rush hour with people ordering boxes of goodies to take back to the office.
The menu includes the classic donuts (glaze, twist, cream filled, bear claw, apple fritter, butterfly, jelly filled, eclair, old fashioned donut holes, and red velvet donut holes).
Here’s the thrill: you can get Carolina Glazed donuts cream filling in a regular glazed or chocolate covered donuts. The filling flavors includes your choice of:
•Strawberry •White cream •Custard •Lemon •Blueberry •Raspberry
I normally get the white cream or the custard cream fillings. The fillings are not too sweet, but it enhances the donuts to ten times tastier!
Basic donuts are around $0.89 each, or jelly filled for $1.29 each. These aren’t fancy donuts but they are fresh and tasty. They’re known for their Apple Fritters.
I come by every so often the employees remembers my order, now that is great customer service!

Read moreThese are simply the BEST donuts you can get! Carolina Glazed Donuts blow all the other large chain corporations out of the water. There is no comparing these incredibly fresh, fluffy, delicious donuts and other small baked treats to the big name chains- Others don’t stand a chance against them. They offer a variety of different flavors, notably their maple (personal favorite), strawberry and of course classics. If you want a filled donut they are filled to order! The barvarian cream is to die for, and even though I’m not a big fan of jelly filled everyone i know say theirs are fantastic.
The staff is always so friendly and kind, striking up a conversation with you when you walk in. I’m pretty sure they recognize us now and our order- which i’m not sure if it’s a good thing or a bad thing that we are there often enough for them to remember LOL. can never have enough of these donuts.
Weekends are certainly their busiest days, so if you want these amazing donuts- GO EARLY! They usually do run out of the cult favorites before noon. The earlier you go, the better, as well as them being the freshest!!
Do note there is a minimum $5 purchase to pay with card, but it’s not hard to reach this since you’ll want to...
Read moreA friend recommended this spot very highly, said it was the best in the area. He has very good food taste so I trusted his opinion. Visited for the first time a few years ago (pre-pandemic) and it was the last time. I wish the team there well, but the experience was not the best and neither was the taste of the doughnuts. We were the only ones in the shop and it was our first time, so we had to scan the case. It was a bit awkward as the person assisting us stood there watching us rather than offering to review flavors to help us along with our order. I also spied the filling dispensers for the freshly filled doughnuts - the contents were shelf stable and artificial looking and tasting fillings like strawberry. The shop itself reminding me of something I would see on Long Island; Mom and Pop, kind of run down, but not all out unclean. There are not many doughnut places around that I will patronize, unfortunately, but I will drive to Bright Spot if...
