This is one of the best 2-star hotels I've stayed at and I'm almost 50. When you stay at a 2-star, you just need a place to crash for the night. What's important is that it's clean. No musty odors, no sticky floors, clean sheets, clean towels, clean hallways and elevators. This place delivers on everything that you need for a short stay. L We were visiting relatives in Queens on the Labor day weekend. The rates were affordable and it's just over an hour to drive. We were very happy with our room. It had a pleasant smell as we entered. The bed and bedding were clean and comfortable. The staff were all polite and friendly. The breakfast of sausage and eggs was enough to hold you over. It wasn't a fancy meal, but it'll save you a fair amount of money so you don't need to go out to eat. The self-serve waffle station was great. The Fresh fruit was welcome. We stayed at a 3 star in Tampa where breakfast was extra and they didn't even provide bananas. Our room was quiet. We couldn't hear our neighbors. Since it was towards the middle (we stayed just above the front entry), we couldn't heat any traffic. I would definitely...
Read moreThis hotel is misleading guests by using the name of Rutgers University, creating the false impression that the university is somehow affiliated with or endorses the property. This is a deliberate attempt to eyewash and deceive customers, especially those unfamiliar with the area.||||Furthermore, the conduct of the manager, Vaibhavi (also referred to as Vee), was absolutely unacceptable. Her unkind, unprofessional, and threatening behavior toward me as a guest was beyond shocking. Instead of resolving concerns with courtesy, she resorted to intimidation, which I consider a serious violation of basic hospitality standards.||||I intend to formally report her conduct to the appropriate authorities, and I encourage others who’ve faced similar mistreatment to do the same. This review is just the beginning—Vaibhavi should prepare to be held accountable for her actions.||||I strongly advise future guests to stay elsewhere. There are far better options in the area that are honest about their branding and respectful to...

The room is old-fashioned (ceiling stucco, carpet and furniture of another time) and there were humidity spots on the wall. The refrigerator literally froze my bottle of water which was in the door. The bathroom is tiny and we have not desire to take a bath. The coffee maker is in the bathroom (?). The bed was comfortable but there was only a single additional cover and pillows are tiny.||||I didn't find the services hotel book which proposes the services of the hotel. Our room was on the side of the highway and the noise is constant and deafening thus I didn't well sleep of the whole. Windows would need to be replaced by windows better isolated against the noise of the cars which enter or which go out of the city which never sleeps. Nevertheless, I have already slept on the side of expressways in other hotels and we heard not the cars which passed.||||The offered breakfast is continental type and correct. There's a choice of bread, brioches, bagels or English muffins, jams, peanut butter, fruits, yogourts, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, orange or appel juices, and hot or cold cereals. Thus, enough choices for all to begin well the day. The staff of the floor was courteous and helpful but the less welcoming employees of the reception.
