I had a Brazilian Wax & Full Leg Wax appt., For my 1st time ever receiving those services, as well as 1st time visiting this establishment. Alina provided both waxing service's, & did a very good job! She also gave me some tips as to what to do & what to avoid for future reference, due to the coarseness of my hair, as well as my skin's extreme sensitivity! I found that very helpful & insightful. Also, I did not catch his name, but the gentleman that works the front desk, who I also made my appointment with was/is EXTREMELY Polite & EXTREMELY Friendly!! Both encounters with him, over the phone & conversing with him for awhile in person, were both the icing on the cake! I'm thinking he must be possibly a part owner or something, due to his knowledge & background in the services the establishment provides, as well as additional suggestions that would possibly suit me even better due to my high sensitivity & being prone to ingrown hairs with such coarse hair. He didn't just blindly make the suggestions either, he made it so comfortable & also explained the differences between both hair removing procedures, & why it might be worth me checking out, as to why it would be beneficial to someone vwith my specific needs & reactions. Even afterwards, he really just sealed the deal for me! He was such a pleasure to converse with, & he is GENUINELY an extremely Friendly People Person, who obviously loves & enjoys his work. You can also tell he GENUINELY just wants every Client/Customer to leave there nothing less than 100% satisfied & happy! There are people like that at Salons & Spa's, but I've always been able to kind of see their intentions through wanting satisfaction from their Customers, & in the long run most are just interested in getting your money, & making sure they can get you back there again to get more of your money. I can honestly say, without a doubt, he was probably one of the most genuine staff members / possible owners, (I'm not 100% sure of his exact position there), that I have ever came across! He wasn't pushy or aggressive! However, he made a point to make sure I was satisfied with services provided that day,+ non-intrusively & not aggressively asked if I thought I would be coming back again for follow-up service, & very nonchalantly, & very GENUINELY made a possible suggestion for a future visit for me,that I may find more comfortable during the process, as well as beneficial to my specific needs afterwards. He also explained why that suggestion would be beneficial in my specific case, & EXACTLY HOW it could possibly benefit me during & after. He was really a pleasure,& I will go back there for a follow-up service,&definitely take his suggestion in near future as well! The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5,is strictly bc personal preferences & standards that I am used to & accustomed to. My 1st 29yrs of living,I lived same place in Suffolk County, Long Island, almost bordering Nassau County, on the South Shore. Therefore, I had every & ALL types of Spa's & Salons available to me. I'll admit, even though I never went to one for a waxing service bc I never had a waxing service done before this visit, I did frequent Spa's often for many other service's, & I only went to the best! The nicest, cleanest, aesthetically pleasing, basically the 'upscale' of the spectrum. Whether it was a larger sizes Spa/Salon, or a smaller sized establishment, with a more intimate setting, my go to spots were all considered 'UPSCALE' persay. Therefore, from an aesthetic & overall point of view, in comparison to what I am used to, I couldn't fairly give it 5 Stars bc of my past Spa/Salon type establishment experiences, bc if I am going to give a 100% honest review, The Brazilian Wax is not aesthetically, or in the criteria of an upscale spa/salon, nor does it give off that feel in anyway aesthetically. However, as I raved earlier in my review, the friendly, hospitable & genuine service provided was above & beyond any service I ever received at any 5 Star 'Upscale' Spa/Salon in the past!...
Read moreI have been visiting Tatiana for a Brazilian Keratin treatment for almost two years now, and I could not be more grateful for finally finding a stylist (after years of searching) that does a consistent, beautiful job with my hair each and every time.
Just to give you all some background, I am Puerto Rican, so my hair is very curly. My curl type falls between a 3A and 3B. I like straightening my hair during the fall/winter months so between September-April I go once every 3.5 months to have a Brazilian Keratin treatment. Before keratin, my hair was dry, damaged, and frizzy from all the heat I would have to put on it to get it straight. It would also take me about 2.5 hours from start to finish to do my hair, which would drive me crazy.
Since having this treatment done, my hair has completely transformed for the better. My hair is healthiest itâs ever been. It is silky smooth after blow drying/straightening, and is no longer frizzy or damaged.
It was extremely important for me to find a treatment that is gentle and that doesnât completely take my curl out of my hair as I do like to wear it natural during the summer months. I have found the Brazilian Keratin to be very gentle on my hair. I have not noticed any damage or breakage to my hair in the two years I have had it done, and even in the summer when the treatment had worn off, my hair is left with beautiful, more manageable curls. The only thing I would suggest to to have your ends trimmed each time you go. In September when so went, I showed Tatiana a picture of how I wanted my hair styled into layers and she replicated it beautifully.
Finding a stylist who can confidently and consistently blow out my hair type each and every time has been a long journey for me. I am so happy to have finally met Tatiana who continues to do a beautiful job with my hair. If you have been considering having this treatment done, you can 110% trust Tatiana. She is excellent and well experienced.
Update 09/29/2020 I still love this salon. I just came for my annual Keratin after taking a break from blowing out my hair for five months. Tatiana is the best, and I trust her 110%...
Read moreTatiana you did not give me a discount. You gave me back my money that I was overcharged. Your employee is a thief! I went here for my first time because my sister recommended it. They charged my sister $55 for root touch up and $30 for wash and cut less than a week ago. I trusted that it wouldnât have been much different in price. My hair is a little past my shoulders. My sisters hair is much longer. I colored my hair one base color and wash, cut and blowout. Martha did my hair. When time to pay I asked how much? She said $240! At first I thought I heard wrong. I questioned the price and she said first time itâs more money. And the wash, cut is $90. I paid cash. I have never been charged $90 for wash, cut and blowout. And my hair isnât long. Red Flag đ© they donât have a price list in this place. Because if you donât ask in advance for the price they take advantage and overcharge you. Also the cut was not good. I called the next day and spoke to the manager and she said it was a mistake. That it shouldâve been $180 . Said she would refund me the difference. I believe this was not a mistake. I went back for the refund and Martha barely acknowledged me when I walked in. The manager left me waiting while she poked at her face in the mirror. She said she will give me a discount. Is she serious?! Discount?! That refund was the money stolen from me by your hair stylist. This was a terrible experience! Total SCAM! The manager had an answer for everything. I questioned why my sister was charged $30 for a cut and I was charged $90? Thatâs a big difference. Also if you look on the website it says a haircut $35. AVOID THIS SALON and go somewhere else. They donât have values and morals. They charge whatever they feel like charging. Worst...
