If you want your breakfast experience to be less about you enjoying a well thought out meal cooked and served by good folks being genuine, and more about the sad story of MBA brats and soul less lawyers devoid of imagination, trying to implement their get rich at the expense of others scheme, then this is the place for you. If you want to be served in a sterile formulaic faux farm environ by robotic folks who have been forced to agree to "never talk negatively about any guest or any tip amount." , creating an opportunity for customer and/or management abuse of servers, then this is the place for you. Work behavior is modeled by solid leadership sharing core values and not by edicts with potential for creating victimization. If you want franchising promotions thrust in your face as you sit to peacefully consider your day, then this is the place for you. If you'd like to be greeted by a server programmed to pry your personal information from you with the offer of an app in exchange for $5 without the promise of not selling your data, then this is the place for you. From the moment of the server greeting, you are left to suspect your visit is less about an opportunity for a quality meal and more about someone looking to use the serving of a meal as a pretense for selling franchises and collecting your data. A look at the menu and delivery of the food confirms this. Over medium eggs become over hard. "Burn them" potatoes becomes bleach blonde hunks of not quite par boiled white potatoes briefly tossed on the grille before squeaking across your plate to rest hapless next to the blistered eggs. A request to start with a single cup of coffee becomes the $3.95 delivery of festival of microplastics from a thermal pitcher you did not ask for. How could it taste good if you know what you know? If you like your French toast steamed flacid yet somehow stiff from sitting in the pre-made stack for so long then you have found your peeps... which is kinda tgeir texture?. I did not know which to do first?: eat the french toast or put out an APB for the missing yet promised vanilla. If you want Advacado toast topped with blonde hydroponic tomatoes leaking their growth medium into what then became soggy bread, well, then, this is your spot! The coffee was decent while the creamer was a plastic exec's dream... but hey, those little cups make money and keep the landfill going! The messaging in the experience here is clear that the meal is about employees performing by corporate edict and not being themselves while serving what is good for you or your wallet or giving you what you ask for. When I eat out, I prefer a relatable wait person to an automaton spewing a script you can hear over and over as you endure what turns out to be 45 minutes of an odd mix of pre programmed ethical and gastric torture. Our bill was north of $40 and our server, oblivious to the real agenda in place was helpful. I will not mention her name as she was doing exactly what she was told to and it's not her fault the fiscal formula is so nakedly apparent in the blatant mediocrity of it all that gives them one star for atmosphere because the place was still new and still clean. If u just need a spot for someone to grab $25 a person so you can get some caloric intake irrespective of quality or ethics, baby, u...
Read moreIt’s Sunday brunch testing. We are former Lancaster B&B owners, foodies, and have reviewed most brunch-serving places in Lancaster Co. (inculding diners) So, two entrances, both with good folks in line who are taken care of easily (a call-in might get a seat either at table or at counter). Staff and Jeff (owner) are welcoming by suggesting menu items and possibly offering a sample. The space is joyfully open, has high ceilings and full windows. Table areas are not crowded and the counter has comfortable seating. Service is immediate and has good follow-up. The menu is organized well with service persons' help…front has it own collection, back are the seasonal specials with pictures, the inside left is for early-day eating and the right side for later in the day. Please try the awesome juices, perhaps with less ice, but quite refreashing with wonder-filled blends. Dish portions are FULL, so be sure to ask “how many?”, “how much?”, or “how big?”. He enjoyed the seasonal hash with two of his-sytle eggs (dish could. serve two). It’s caramelized onions added that perfect touch…perhaps a sprinkle ofTabasco Green Pepper Sauce would offer a subtle nod to this egg dish too (TRY IT). She enjoyed the pumpkin pancakes (even a stack of two would serve two folks). They were light and fluffy with a splash of seeds and real bacon bits which brought out the lovely pumpkin flavor. Perhaps a lightly flavored pumpkin-spice syrup could be offered, although the syrup offered did just fine. Now, to top off a comfortable open clean space, good-sized portioned, congenial/welcoming staff, as well as good timing on service/food delivery, with dishes (see questions above) which were quite satisfying and yummy…we had a most enjoyable conversation with owner Jeff Roth (yes, he is a gran'pa too) about his connection to this hospitality business. He offered food suggestions (yup, we SHALL be back to test all the menus, although this first brunch passed with an “A”), and was willing to accept our suggestions as well. We have frequented many of Lancaster’s brunch spots and breakfast diners , and as B&B owners who created breakfasts twelve years, we find Jeff’s attention to hospitality, welcoming staff, service, kitchen staff to be our best now. We shall return! Thank you, Jeff, Chyna, and Cleo your...
Read moreI had to come back and update my review. My husband and I ate here for the second time today. I’m glad we joined the waitlist because our wait was not long at all! This place is always packed so definitely join the waitlist. We had a similar experience with some of our food missing, this time we mentioned it while we were there and Racheal the manager was super attentive and helpful! She made sure we had everything we ordered and apologized for this mistake. It really means a lot she went above and beyond to make sure this experience was better. Racheal you rock!!!! We will be back again, both times we have come the food is consistently AMAZING AND DELICIOUS!!!!!
My husband and I went here today for the first time since it’s been opened. We did have a decent wait, but it did feel like it went by pretty quickly, and it was also worth it. First off the owner Jeff was there walking around helping, introducing himself to customers, which was super wonderful! Super nice down to earth kind of guy! I got the two eggs, bacon, and chicken sausage with mixed greens. The greens were amazing and had wonderful dressing! My husband loves a the dressing so much he put it on his omelette! He got the cross fit omelette with a pancake and said it was good. I also got the chai tea, which was amazing, and a huge portion. I also got the strawberry cheesecake French toast, which was amazing, however the ends were a little hard. Overall, the place is so beautiful and well decorated inside. It’s also well lit which is super nice for the older demographic! The menu isn’t too overwhelming either. The prices are super reasonable. I will absolutely be back! I’d recommend turning point to anyone who wants a nice breakfast, brunch or lunch! You will not be disappointed!
My husband and I both realized we never actually got two items we ordered. I never got an English muffin which came with my meal, and my husband ordered oatmeal which he never got. So when you go just remember what you got so you...
