Very good food, grand opening time and very crowded. I had no idea what to order or what I ordered would be, it'd be nice if there would be one clear pic so id have known what I got was like soup with rice noodles. I had no idea what their hogie would be like, they have the spring rolls and chicken and grilled dishes also. My son loved his meal that was like soup with beef, mine was seafood. They don't have everything up and running or else they are using older menus because we wanted to get avocado smoothies but they didn't have theirs. The ice coffee is very good I'd you like dark blends with a strong taste. They have Vietnamese like soy sauce whatever theirs is called and like a pepper looking ground/chopped spice of some sort. I'd definitely look up what the different types of foods are so you know what your ordering. We stopped there last minute because it was close to my doctor. The staff is very friendly but yet not good at explaining what the foods are like because I asked and didn't know any more after she told me as I knew before lol. I'll go back again and so will my youngest son who loved what he got and he had previously looked up Vietnamese food. The bowls of the rice noodle various soups and there are maybe 20 to choose from are huge. I ate what I could but still filled a quart plastic container I brought home. My son filled half a qt container. I am sure they have dessert but yet we were not asked of we wanted any and just because people take part of their meal home does not mean don't want to try a different cultures dessert. They are new to this area and no idea if this was a established restaurant that moved but suspect so because menus not new but they have several kinks to work out for those of us who know nothing about the food. We had two large bowls soup, 1 iced coffee and our bill was $23 something so with a $5 tip we spent less than $30.00. Plus we have leftovers, I actually have enough left for more than 1 meal. You do get chopsticks to eat with but also a fork and a Asian type spoon for the soup. They serve you first big pile bean sprouts and some stemmed type plant. I was lost if we just eat that as is or if put something on it. They put a few sliced green peppers that are very hot if you like hot. They also have...
Read moreWas surprised to find a Pho restaurant in Lancaster. Guess it is an up and coming culinary hot spot recently. 😀
The restaurant actually looks like it might have been a fast food restaurant before. Like burger King or something. So no frills. Just eat and go hehehe
It was cold so we stopped in for a hot bowl of Pho. My mind was blown away with how flavorful the broth was! This was better than many places in NYC and NJ! And a small bowl was still huge compared to NY or NJ! I had the Round Eye and Tendons, I did wish there was more Tendons :)
Hubby had the House Special Vermicelli which had Sugarcane Shrimp, Grilled Shrimp, Grilled Pork, Vietnamese Pork Patties and Egg Roll. Everything in the bowl was delicious.
We loved it so much we took the family out. They've never had Vietnamese food even though this restaurant is in their backyards LOL. They were hesitant since they were unfamiliar so we were able to help guide them. We tried:
Egg Rolls were thin but meaty. So good.
Spring Rolls were bland, it needed a thicker peanut sauce that will stick to the rolls for flavor.
Chicken Wings with fish sauce was a hit. It gave us the idea that we can buy fish sauce in an Asian market and marinate the wings and then air fry it at home for a different flavor.
Everyone loved the Chicken Fried Rice. Even the pickiest eater! The 8yr old was hesitant but was willing to try everything, that was not spicy that is lol
Grilled Pork Chops which was a hit with everyone even the picky kids hehehe
Spicy Seafood Pho was good but it got us! That slow burn so you eat thinking it's not spicy and bam 5-6 bites in and now your burning. 1 person was sweating while eating LOL. But he insisted on powering through 🤣
Beef Stew with Noodles - personally I've never heard of this. But 1 person ordered it and it was actually good. Nice big tender chunks of beef.
The 13 yr old ate the whole House Special Vermicelli by himself sharing little of it LOL
Successfully opened the family palate. Hooray!
Oh don't order the Soy Drink, it's just a can of Yeo Soy Drink. I thought for $4 it was going to be fresh made... not worth it...
Read moreHave been to the restaurant many times in the last few years that they have been opened. Food is decent and the price is fair compared to the Vietnamese restaurants in the area. However, it seems like their customer service have taken a nosedive lately. Today, I called ahead to order to go. Came to the restaurant in 10-15 minutes. Paid for my bill, and then the cashier who was helping me just walked away after I signed for the payment slip. I figured the food wasn't ready, so I sat and waited. 15 minutes goes by, with staff passing on by with what it feels like they're actively trying to avoid eye contact with me. None of the staff even took the time to acknowledge me or provide any updates to me about my order. So, I walked to the counter again, and gentleman who took my payment earlier asked what I had ordered. I would've understand if they were busy, that he forgot about me and my order, but they weren't! I stated what I had ordered, and he grabbed two bags that were sitting on metal shelf next to the cashier station. The very same two bags that had been sitting on those shelves since I entered the restaurant! What's more sad is that this same EXACT situation happened before! I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, but to have it happen twice is just inexcusable. If you plan on eating/ordering here, just don't set your expectations too high for their...
