Great place for purchasing or renting a time share. We have visited sea oats 5 times. Affordable price for a great on the beach location. Nice deck with gas grills to cook with, nice pool, and hot tub. Has the "old Florida feel" seems dated but everything well maintained. Rooms have always been clean and they have a helpful and friendly staff in the front office. Pool and hot tub areas always clean and well cared for. Short walk to private beach. Rooms have full kitchen with cookware and dishes. Laundry facilities on site. Beautiful views of gulf of Mexico sunsets from large deck area.

Quaint, older property. It is in good repair. Clean grounds, clean beach. It is nice to have a private beach. It is very lovely and quite warm. It is turtle season, meaning they are laying eggs all over. It's against the law to mess with them or their nests in the least. They section off the nests with 3 sticks and florescent orange tape. Lights out facing the gulf at 9pm so as to not confuse the turtles or their offspring. You can sift the sand for sharks teeth. Cute little community for sure. The people are so friendly here.

We have been going to Sea Oats for the better part of 10 years now and have always had a good experience. We love “getting away from it all” for a week or two at a time and being able to spend time with family each year. It is a little rundown, but that’s to be expected for a building that’s over 40 years old. The new staff (in 2022) seems really friendly and will hopefully take great care of the place for years to come.

Where do I begin? Upon arrival the pool was filthy. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a couple weeks, The umbrellas at the pool deck were broken, falling apart or tattered. All of the magnetic locks around the resort were not working. So all gates will fully open. The gas grills barely worked. It would go out in the middle of Grilling. I tried to plug in my laptop to one of the many outlets near the grilling area. However, they didn’t work. So I walked around the pool area and tested out every outlet. Out of maybe 12 outlets only 2 worked. ||Not to mention all the weeds and lack of landscaping as I was walking around, looking for outlets. It was very disheartening. Actually, it was embarrassing. We met a couple who was here for the 1st time & they were appalled. They tried calling their exchange company to get them out of there & into another resort. The wife said she had to put sheets on the living room furniture because she was so grossed out by the outdated, cloth furniture.||We tried to still make the best of our vacation. The boys wanted to play cornhole. They opened up the shed, saw the cornhole bags, but no boards. I asked the front desk about the boards and they had no idea where they were. I was told the next day somebody threw them out. So I asked, is it possible to get new cornhole boards? Apparently, that wasn’t a very good question because they never did. || Now let me move on to our unit. I noticed some black marks on the wall in the kitchen. It looked like mold. So I looked back at my pictures from 2023 and sure enough the same spots were there however they were painted over. So I went to the guest bedroom and looked in the closet because I had a picture of the mold from 2023. I was horrified to see tgey didn’t do anything about it!! The mold was spreading so bad it was growing out of the closet. It was all over the inside of the door tract & the ceiling. It was terrible. This was reported to the manager last year and again this year. While we were there, I developed a sore throat. And I couldn’t figure out why. Now I believe it was from the mold. ||We’ve been going To Sea Oats for years. We know it’s old and that doesn’t bother us. However, that doesn’t mean it should be dirty and unkept. Not to mention, they raised our yearly maintenance fees significantly. Ever since Sea Oats was taken over by new management Cunningham Properties we’ve noticed a steady decline in the care of the “resort”. It’s pretty disheartening. Not only have our maintenance fees increased but the care & upkeep of the “resort” have decreased!! ||Hopefully, they’ll do something about it this time because last year they totally dismissed our complaints. That was the 1st time we have ever complained to management. ||Oh one more thing, NO SMART TV’s in the...

Me and my husband stayed a week here. 2 days after we arrived I was taking a shower and the heavy porcelain soap dish made into the wall surrounded by tile came off the wall and landed on top of my food alone with several pieces of tile. I had a huge knot on my foot, swelling and severe pain. My husband went to the office they sent a maintenance man in. He said water had been getting behind tile for a while that's what caused it to come loose. I showed the lady in the office. She was very rude. I went to ER had it x-rayed it was severely sprain. They fitted me with a shoe to wear to keep down swelling. This happened in May. I am now getting past due statements from the ER, Dr and radiologist. This matter has yet to be settled. I still have the knot and pain in my leg every night. I would not recommend this place. Very rude staff. I guess I will have to hire an attorney! Oct 3, 2016 My private insurance paid most of my medical bills so they are only paying a little over 700.00. We are coming back to Englewood, as we usually come about 4 times a year, we are staying next door at El Galeon for about the same cost and it's a much nicer place. So people please check this out before booking. The staff at Sea Oaks are very rude, the building is run down. You can deal with friendly staff right next door!

Very dissatisfied...

This was the most rude experience I've ever dealt with at a beach, LET ALONE A RESORT - in my life! A lady with long blonde/grayish hair older woman working the front office was very rude and nasty to me and my kids. Asked if I needed a pass, I simply asked "oh yes! Can I pay for parking please? It doesn't have a sign over there." She insistently tells me this is a resort and I can't park there but clearly it's by the main road of the beach with no signs saying the public cannot park there. I ask her "if you saw me struggling with my 3 kids and all of my stuff just trying to go to the beach, why she couldn't be a good person and come out and tell me" She smirked and slammed the door in front of an office full of customers. This review is all about how she handled me, as a person. She could've simply walked the 10ft or so to my car and asked if I had a room here, apologizing ahead of time if I didn't that I couldn't park here. But u could see in her face she was waiting for me to walk up PAST her office. I was already having a bad day, and this was the icing on the cake for me. I'm a reasonable person, I would've complied and moved on. I can't believe at a RESORT they have an employee who acts...
