Beachcomber Trading Post Restaurant — Restaurant in Englewood

July 2024 My husband Bobby and I stopped by around 4 after being at the beach just for drinks… We ended up staying til after 8 as we enjoyed the atmosphere so much we called Sean, our son, to join us! We stayed for dinner which was wonderful. The fish dip to start was perfectly creamy & smoky served with soft, warm pita triangles and sliced carrots & celery. Both my son and I had the lightly blackened Mahi sandwich on toasted Cuban bread and I can tell you it was absolutely delicious! A nice thick piece of fish cooked perfectly & very moist! Fries with spicy remoulade sauce accompanied them! My husband had the burger and he said it was one of the best he’s ever had. The owners, Carol & Pete and daughter Katie were so gracious and friendly! We loved them! Our server Sydney was spot on… very friendly & knowledgeable and right there when we needed her! The decor and ambiance are outstanding! you truly feel like you’re in an island paradise! The restaurant is located right on a finger of the Lemon Bay Aquatic Preserve and we did get a glimpse of a Manatee! Do yourself a favor and drive down Beach Road toward Englewood Beach and turn in to The Beachcomber Trading Post!! Believe me you’ll thank me! ENJOY!! Linda Sept 2024 Enjoyed drinks & a light dinner last night with the most awesome view! If you have not been to The Beachcomber Trading Post you are missing the boat! They have the BEST food, VIEWS and AMBIANCE! Great music playing while relaxing in a tropical setting... right on the water!! They're open from 7AM to 8PM.. serving breakfast til 11 then lunch/dinner... Kylie was our server last night and she was perfect!! We enjoyed the smoked fish dip and it was really good.... not too smoky, just right .. could taste the fish but not 'fishy'....YUM! We loved the Mahi sandwich also... & great fries! Hate to talk it up so much as I will be sad when we can't get in as it's toooooo busy! ROAD SIGNAGE NOT GOOD... You could/might drive right by the entrance... just on the left as you come over the last South Beach Rd bridge... GREAT FOOD &...

My husband Bobby & I stopped by for a drink after being at the beach and were instantly WOWED! The ambiance, decor, location, owners & staff were all awesome! We were greeted by Carol the owner who was so very very pleasant! She helped us decided where to sit & then had Sydney (who is very sweet & upbeat & efficient) serve us our drinks. We also met Pete the other owner who is apparently the parking guru!! We had a dinner planned elsewhere which we canceled then called our son to join us at The Beachcomber! The view is one of the best of any local restaurant and we even saw a manatee! We had the delicious smoked fish dip for an appetizer which was served with toasted pita points & sliced carrots & celery! It was SOOOOO GOOD!!! Then we ordered dinner and the food was perfectly prepared, the right temperature and soooooo delicious... Both my son & I had the lightly blackened Mahi sandwich which was a thick, moist piece of fish on a toasted Cuban roll. Bobby had the grilled hamburger and said it was one of the best he's had! As his side he chose the fresh fruit cup.. Sean & I had french fries with Remoulade sauce! The Beachcomber is deceiving from the road...it's much more spacious than it appears! Do yourself a favor and check it out! It'll be your new go-to...

We came here for dinner, Sydney was our waitress, a sweet, funny bubbly blond that was helpful with food and drink suggestions, attentive and made the experience fun! (She even gave us a heads-up on the dolphins 🐬 that often makes an appearance in the canal front the restaurant is located on. Although the amazing live music kept them in Lemon Bay that day we hope to catch them on the next visit). I ordered the fish tacos special and it was so delicious, my husband got the fish sandwich and my 6yr old destroyed the ceaser salad with Mahi! Everything was fresh and perfect. We met Matt the manager who made us delicious Dole Whip cocktails and a fantastic coffee expresso and ice cream special request! We met the sweet owner who gave all the kids a ice cream Dole whip sample! The live musice and bright colored furniture gave the place a gorgeous Key West Vibe! We came back for breakfast, Bloody Marys are massive and strong and so good, again food was spot on! Definitely a great spot!...
