If I could’ve given zero stars, I would’ve Three weeks ago I sat down at this what I believe to be wonderful, family environment At the bar top outside and after going to no other place left the restaurant and had been roofied with benzos fentanyl, and amphetamine. I had to go to the hospital via ambulance, and was so grateful for the good Samaritan, who saw me standing on the side of the road dying. all I want to say is that I pray something is done about it. When I asked to speak to the manager about this I was told they would call the police on me, now I’ve been going to this family establishment for five years 3 to 5 times a week and wrote wonderful reviews about them and referred many of people to them. However, with this most recent encounter, I hope that someone does some investigating as to what is really going on up there. And was so humorous and disgusting about it as well as I’m told this tonight as I’ve been in this place at least 12 times sense very cautiously trying to figure out what exactly happened and I’ve heard nothing and no problems about it yet tonight I was asked to leave because I was drugged and almost dropped my puppy. I remember almost dropping my puppy and thank God I caught her that was right about when I started realizing something was wrong and yet instead of being a concerned business manager i’ve been hung up on twice and completely disrespected, as well as makes me wonder what kind of management if they thought something was going wrong, would allow someone to walk out of their establishment in that type of way if I would’ve died what would’ve happened because I was there last. The owners of this restaurant and many of the restaurants on the beautiful paradise island of Manasota Key or wonderful people and I’m sure that hopefully this gets to them and they’re able to do...
Read moreHad a party of 11 and was given a pager upon arrival. We waited over a hour watching everyone arriving be seated. It’s also disappointing when you’re waiting and you see there is a lot of empty tables. When we asked about our wait we were rudely told that there is only one table for larger parties and they were just seated so I guess we were expected to wait until their whole meal was completed and they decided to leave. (That could be hours!) They easily could have combined tables together to accommodate us, they just chose not to. So we had to separate our group into 3 and sit at 3 different tables. (I’m a local trying to have dinner with a family from out of state. Kind of defeats the purpose of even having dinner if you can’t even sit together!) Once we were sat at a table we had to wait a long time before a server came. By the time the server came we knew our whole order, but she refused to take it because she said she had to get another tables order. She voluntarily shared her excuses about why the service sucked. We waited over 2 hours total before we got served food. My kids went to school all day and were starving. I surely didn’t expect a 2 hour wait. I understand it’s “season”, but shouldn’t there be more staff to accommodate? Yes, the location and atmosphere is nice. Live music is great. The food we ordered was good, but pricey. The customer service was lacking and that’s really what sets businesses aside. I’ll take my...
Read moreVisiting Manisota Key during Memorial Day weekend and found this place. One thing that makes that a 5 star for me when traveling with my kids, is fact they have vegertain options for my daughter. She was torn between the impossible tacos or the Impossible burger bangin bowl. She chose the impossible tacos with a side of black beans. She was happy with her meal and it was something I don't think she ever had in the past. My son had a burger (not pictured) on a ciabatta Bun, and I went with the Lobster Roll, which I thoroughly enjoyed. We ordered the onion petals that we all enjoyed. A special thanks to Rebecca, who was our server. Within moments of sitting down, she took our drink order and the kids had their water, and my beer was served. Appetizer came out quick and food was not that far behind. Outside dinning was an added bonus in that it was perfect weather for outside dinning. As our table was cleared, we complimented our great dinner staff member commented how great the behind the scenes staff was so a big thank you to all those behind the scene.
We stopped in early and was seated right away. As we were eating, Rob Benton was setting up and getting ready to perform No doubt? If we stuck around, it would have been some good entertainment.
All in all, a great meal that we enjoyed while down in Manisota Key. Only p Complaint was I don't have a boat to dock along the waterway. Had I have a boat, it would have been...
