It was okay. Unlike any other place we went to on our trip, this place smelled like a bar; meaning there was an odor of cigarettes. Not heavy, but you can smell it. The atmosphere was nice, though the padded vinyl tablecloths were a bit dated and worn. The tables seemed a touch too tall for the chairs that accompanied them. Other than the smell of cigarettes, our server was the worst part of our visit. He wasn’t bad, but has was FAR from good. He took our drink orders shortly after being seated, took our food orders shortly after that. Once we got our food, which was in a reasonable amount of time, he disappeared. He quickly walked by, saw we were eating and didn’t say a word and kept walking by. He wasn’t busy with other guests because the restaurant was pretty empty. He returned once I put my napkin on my plate. The food was okay... nothing great. I had the Elephant Burger, which came with avocado, Swiss cheese, and bacon. The burger was cooked nicely, and tasted fine, though they forgot the bacon, and since our server disappeared I couldn’t get bacon. The fries were bland and at room temperature. My wife ordered the Grouper Fingers and they were good. Wish the tarter sauce was homemade, but it came in a prepackaged cup. So, it was okay. They do have nice views of the water and they placed lights in the water so you could see the fish which was cool. All in all, it was a very...
Read moreMy table was served and one meal missing… mine. Ok I was told “oh it will be right out!” 8-10 minutes later it’s obvious my lunch was missed! I did understand because I’ve worked both kitchen and server. Well my chicken was raw… great grill marks but raw inside! Waited maybe 5 minutes for server I had to flag down… now all my table mates ( my guests) are done eating. I ask them to take the meal away and I’m all set. Servers says “ let us make this right”. Me: “ no thank you… remove the charge and I’ll take the check”. Server” no let me remove the chicken and I’ll box up a sandwich.. no charge”. Everyone at the table says .. we’ll wait… 10 minutes later a plated sandwich is served… please box this! My guests are heading to the boat. Long story the sandwich is on the bill… what happened to “ no charge”. Server says “ oh we can’t give away food here!” What about no charge? Oh I removed the chicken and you ordered this. Right?? I am right here you know I am. Not only was I lied to I was treated rudely by an arrogant server!! AND she’s training someone!!! This is a person training your future employees !!!OMGoodness!!!If she made a mistake… admit it and be a better face of your owner’s establishment On top of that … as always I left 30% tip!! Never again!! Every burger ordered was over done(3) fries were cold. BUT my husband said the grouper was good SKIP...
Read moreI would give this place zero stars - The hostess verbally attacked us because she decided we were bad people. We were looking for a restaurant to eat at on the water. The place we found that was open told ys to park at the white elephant - we didn’t know that the dock was exclusive to them. We docked - 8 of us 4 adults and 4 kids. My wife walked towards the street and the hostess started yelling at my daughter - she said that if we parked a boat we couldnt go out to the street. She tried to explain - and the hostess wouldnt listen. I walked over to the hostess saying we had to leave. Then she yelled in a nasty voice HAPPY EASTER. I asked if we could eat there - but she kept rambling about us leaving. I finally asked again can we eat here. She then gave an attitude - do you want the bar or a seat inside. i went to ask her a question, then she verbally attacked again. At this point I said we will leave. I didn’t feel comfortable eating here - this is not a good or safe place to dine. All we wanted to do was sit down to eat - we weren’t intentionally trying to do something wrong. A simple - docking is for our restaurant only - and we would have said no problem and eaten there. Not willing to be berated and accused of wrongdoing. Manager or owner is welcome to reach out - Not looking for anything - but they do need to correct...
