My wife and I stayed six days at Aspen Winds in a 1-bedroom spa suite with a patio that faces that river and a beautiful view of the mountains (and the mountain that centered our patio that we came to call “Mount Lumpy”). It was an absolutely amazing experience. In addition to the amazing scenery, we saw an elk standing only several yards away from our patio, as well as rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, and magpies.
As soon as we walked in our suite, we felt instantly at home. There were times when we felt that weren’t in a suite, but rather a comfortable apartment—and a beautiful one at that. Most of the time, we picked up our food at local restaurants and the grocery store and came back and dined “al fresco” on our patio. We ordered two packages: 1) Aspen Gold; and 2) Aspen Interlude that were wonderful. The charcuterie plate was amazing! Many thanks to Ryan for putting this together! I never knew that a charcuterie could be put together so artistically.
The customer service was amazing! The staff were so very friendly. I use the word, “staff”, but they felt like family to me. We’d walk over and chat with them about life in Estes Park, the Rocky Mountain National Park, and so many other fun conversations. My wife and I had to wipe away a tear or two when we left. In addition to our visit to the Rocky Mountain National Park (which is literally only a few minutes down the road to an entrance to the park), this was the highlight of our visit to Estes Park.
Many thanks to Dot, Ryan, Phil, Eric and all the other staff for making this one of the best vacations we’ve ever had! When we visit Estes Park again, and we most certainly will, we’ll be staying here! It was...
Read moreWe went to these cabins for a family reunion and our group had 55 people in it. The location is very nice and the cabins very quaint and clean. There isn't ac so evenings are a bit warm in the summer...we were told to be cautious of leaving windows open due to bears so everything had to be locked up during the day. Temp was in 80s when returning home. Cooled off nicely at night. Otherwise the only thing about the place that could be fixed was the bedrooms being extremely dark and the two lamps not even hooking up to light switches. We would have given four or five stars if not for our last day. The morning of checkout I was not feeling well and we couldn't check in at our next hotel until 4. My husband got up and called the office as well as walked over to the office multiple times to see if we could checkout even an hour or two late...keep in mind it was a Sunday at 1000 not exactly prime time. The moment the office opened a sign went up saying they would return. The rest of our family left and we packed our car. We sat in the living area for 15 mins when the office person stormed in and said "I tried to wait but checkout time has gone by and you need to get out." My husband started to explain the situation but she went in the bedroom and shut the door. We happily planned on leaving if it didn't work. Apparently she had the money and didn't feel being a respectful or decent human was necessary. Very rude...if she had just told us the cabin needed to be turned I would have given 4 stars. For the record our next spot was the Stanley and they had a larger room open 5 hrs before checkin for us- I recommend giving your business to someone who...
Read moreImmaculate. From booking to check-out. A flawless experience. I have worked in hospitality for 10+ years and never have I experienced such an incredible time. Every single staff member had a smile, asked how we were doing, asked if we needed anything, wished us a wonderful day.
We booked two spa suites (one with the Aspen Interlude Package). The rooms looked brand new. Like our stay was the very first time they had been touched. We were called to confirm our rooms, the package, and if we needed anything extra. (Almost the exact second after we booked). A friendly staff member texted me up until the moment we checked in to ensure that our package was correct. The charcuterie board was delicious and we did not waste a single bite. The blanket that was included is soft, embroidered, and the perfect thing to remember our first wedding anniversary. We also received two custom hand painted stemless wine glasses in the package that are absolutely gorgeous. We relaxed in our jetted tub as the snow fell outside and we listened to the river pass by. We couldn't hear any cars or other patrons. I felt incredibly relaxed, and would 100% stay here again and again.
Check out was a breeze, and the housekeeping staff even grabbed me extra ice from further away despite being out at the front desk.
Grade A. 5 Star service. I would be so proud to be a member of this staff/owner/manager/etc.
