This place is extremely overrated online! It is mediocre at best. The units are extremely outdated, and every single hotel I’ve ever been in has nicer bathrooms! The bathroom is HORRIBLE. It has an extremely old shower/tub combination with absolutely no shelves anywhere in the bathroom whatsoever! There is no place to set your clothing or any hygiene items at all. The shower has no shower caddy or shelves to set shampoo, conditioner, shaver, shave cream, bar soap, or any other personal hygiene items you may have. It was EXTREMELY inconvenient. Also, the bathroom door handle is broken and it does not lock. Which would be fine if it was just a couple renting the unit but if it’s a whole family you want to lock the bathroom door!|The coffee pot is an ancient old dollar store coffee pot that has no automatic shut off and as a result has been burnt to a crisp from people leaving it on. Every coffee pot I’ve ever used for the last 20 years has an automatic shut off. Since the one in the unit doesn’t, it’s really easy to leave it burning all day which is a definite fire hazard. I wonder if they could invest $30 for a decent coffee pot for each unit? How much effort would that be?|The dishwasher is also broken, the heating element is burnt out and it didn’t dry the dishes.|The kitchen is not “fully stocked “as advertised online. There are some basic dishes available, that’s all. Be sure to bring your own plastic wrap, tinfoil, plastic food storage bags and bring paper towels with you!! The paper towels they supply are the absolute cheapest dollar store paper towels and within 15 minutes of getting into the unit we had used half of a roll of those paper towels! You have to use half a roll just to clean up a few water spots because they are so incredibly cheap.|On a more positive note, the best thing about this place is that it is right on the Fall River and as soon as you walk out the front door the river is just feet away, a raging gorgeous and very clean river, and they have seats out there that you can sit in, so I found that to be extremely relaxing and is one of the best things about this place (just please be extremely careful with young children since the river is right there and they could easily run out the front door of the units and fall into the river and drown).|I also appreciated the fact that they had a fairly decent laundry room available because when you go hiking and around town you’re going to get your clothes dirty and it was very convenient to be able to wash my clothing so I did like that about the place.|Would I stay here again? No probably not. I feel it was way overpriced for the amenities that they give you. It was extremely expensive and I have stayed in hotels for far less money that were much more luxurious. However, you just can’t beat the scenery especially with the beautiful river right on...
Read moreI gave this review 3 stars because I don’t have a lot of either really positive or negative things to say. The condos were clean and the location on the Fall River was nice. The service/management was friendly enough, but didn’t really seem too interested in going much out of their way for anything. We booked 2 units 5 months in advance with one specific request - that the 2 units be next to each other. It’s not a huge complex, but the 2 units they gave us were almost as far apart as they possibly could be. They never really gave us any explanation or excuse beyond saying that’s just the way they decided to assign them to us. As we were traveling with a wide age-range of family members, having to walk back and forth across the property multiple times a day was a pain. I’d understand if we booked last minute or something, but never really understood why they chose to put us on opposite ends of the property when they had our reservations so far in advance. A few other annoyances - when we booked, it said the units were 1 bedroom + pull out sofa. We booked both units for 3 adults. But when we got there, discovered that instead of pull out sofas, they provided roll away cots. That would have been OK, except there is hardly any room in the condos to spread out the cot. We ended up squeezing them between the coffee table and fireplace. Also, they were supposed to text us the entry codes before we got there, but despite several e-mails and calls, we never received the text. Ultimately we got ahold of someone at a management office in Denver as we were driving into Estes the evening of our arrival who was able to give us the entry code info over the phone so that we were able to get in (the on-site manager’s office closes at 5 every night). Housekeeping and linen replacement is entirely self-serve (even though their info booklets in the cabin stated that housekeeping would change linens, turn down beds and take trash daily). Lack of A/C was not unexpected, but the condo’s only have 2 very small windows, so they got pretty stuffy at night even with the windows wide open (we were there in July). Again, nothing really super negative to say - we had a terrific time in Estes and RMNP and the accommodations were adequate. But also nothing to write home about, which was abit disappointing, particularly at the price point...
Read moreWe made our reservations almost a year in advance and were very disappointed we weren’t given one of the nicer units, perhaps an upper unit further from the driveway. We were very close to the driveway in a lower unit, not ideal. We could hear the toilet flushing and shower running in the other units as the pipes go down through the bedroom wall. The advertising and pictures on the website are very deceptive; it looks like the river side of the property is backed against a mountain; it is not - the river is in front of the property next to a busy highway. Any peacefulness derived from the river is negated by the constant traffic noise! The units are a bit run down; coffee pot burned up and very noisy old dishwasher. No housekeeping was offered so we had to go get our own clean towels and empty our trash by hauling it to the one overflowing garbage can by the office. The unit has a very small living room and bathroom and uncomfortable hard sofa with no pillows. There was only enough room for two people to comfortably stay in the two-bedroom, though it is advertised for up to 4 people. The kitchen was functional and the bed was comfortable; these were really the only positive things about the place. I hate to be so negative, but for the premium price we paid we were expecting so much more. I feel we could have paid that price or slightly more and had a newer place with better amenities and housekeeping at least. Overall it was a disappointment as we were expecting so much more based on the website photos and...
