So I've waited a year to leave this review, for one reason - one of the owners begged me not to through tears because she didn't want it to hurt her business. We stayed in one of these cabins for my birthday last year. The cabin itself was nice enough, nothing to write home about, you get your bathroom, 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. You can't sit on the balcony or do anything out there, fireplace is gas only and pretty minimal, there isn't a lot of seating in living room, and there's no privacy since the cabins are all right next to each other. What I loved was the spa tub in the bedroom, which is kinda in a closet, they just unlock it for you if you pay more. We used the hot tub at night which was awesome, but the spotlights that are motion detected wouldn't allow us to actually relax and take in the nature. Everything in the cabin itself could use an update. That aside, I would have came back here this year. Here's why I didn't - My boyfriend used to work in hotels and has a habit of always checking beds before we hop in. Unfortunately we didn't have time to do this until that evening after the office was already closed (it was my bday and we were at the Stanley all day). Well, once we shined flashlights on the bed we found TONS, TONS of human hair of all different colors and types completely covering the sheets, both fitted and flat sheet. There was pubic hair, head hair, body hair, you name it. To say the least, we didn't get ANY sleep that night. They didn't leave extra bedding in rooms so we laid our coats on the duvet and slept on those all night, freezing. When we checked out the next morning we let the owner in office know, we were very nice about it, planned to just give her a heads up. She said there was no way her cleaner would do that etc. We showed her pictures. She began to cry, and BEGGED us not to leave a review, and it made my boyfriend pretty uncomfortable, so he started to walk out the door. I'm a therapist, so I want to listen and understand, but her behavior also felt very manipulative. Have you ever had an owner break down crying and beg you not to leave a review? It all seemed extremely odd and my boyfriend just wanted to leave. She said she would give us a free night. I left thinking she was gonna refund my card. That never happened. So I assumed she had just planned to give us a night for free if we came back. Well, I reached out to them twice in the past few weeks trying to get in touch with someone about this, saying we would give them another shot this year if that were true, because I do believe in 2nd chances and we love Estes. Never even heard back. So, it was all clearly manipulation. And maybe she thought I'd forget about that night last year. Well, I didn't. And we...

Wow! What a place! Absolutely stunning! My fiancée and I came here to stay in Estes Park for about 4 days in Dec 2024. When we arrived, they had a key waiting for us by the office door. We let ourselves in, and a very spacious cabin. Full kitchen, electric cooktop, microwave, drip brew coffee maker, garbage disposal, dishwasher. Plates, utensils, cups, glasses, etc. Working fireplace, ceiling fan, comfortable reclining chair, queen bed, jacuzzi tub (pay an extra $20/day to use, which is in a locked room) We were about 2 mins. Away from the entrance from Rocky Mountain State Park. You can walk out in the back patio, and there is a running river in the back! Have your coffee in the morning, and sit in the supplied chairs and have your coffee! Amazing! Great place! Now, unfortunately there were some downsides. This is why we do reviews, right? My fiancée and I come from the East Coast, Connecticut, we are 135’ above sea level. Going to Estes Park you are 7,500’ above sea level. My fiancée had a VERY tough time breathing. Now, yes, this is the first time we went out to this elevation. We had NO clue how she was going to be. I just have to say this, because if you use this review and you never been out here before just be aware, or stay somewhere in Denver and get accustomed to the thinner air. She did use “Boost Oxygen” which is oxygen in a can, that you can use when you need it. It did help her, but we ended up leaving a day early to get a hotel in Aurora which was a lower elevation, and the Evergreens does NOT reimburse you for early departure. ( I AM NOT, saying that as a bad thing, just stating what it said in the rental agreement) We went to Rocky Mountain State Park which was $30 for a day pass and $35 for the week. So we took the week pass, drove up to Bear Lake which again was about 9,500’ but we came right back down again as my fiancée was having trouble breathing. There is a ranger station up there, and people were walking with their walking sticks, backpacks, and snow shoes, we just weren’t prepared for something of that caliber. About a 10 min. Drive down the mountain there is a food supermarket, gas stations, Starbucks, and McDonald’s. There also is Estes Park Main Street which is absolutely cute to walk down, when it’s not 15 degrees! There is also the Stanley Hotel, which is what the movie The Shining was modeled after. You should check out Beer & Chicken Restaurant which was very good as well! The last thing I’m going to comment on was the hot tub…it was working, we checked it out, looked fun, but we were turned off by it. It was outside, in between two units (5&6) no privacy, no fence, shrubs, or trees, you can see other houses, across the river. Overall, great place,...

Based on the reviews I read, I ended up being fairly disappointed with my stay here. After they did not publish the review I left on Airbnb, I think it's clear that they only share the good reviews or have negative ones removed. While our stay was in no way terrible, it was definitely not four or five stars, especially with the discrepancies between their listing and what was actually there. We did not have enough towels for everyone in our party, and I was clear about how many people we were bringing. Airbnb listing does not make clear that the hot tub is shared between a dozen cabins and the hours are quite limited. Our cabin also had a Whirlpool bathtub that we could not access unless we paid an extra fee, which was also not shared in the Airbnb listing. At check-in, several people were trying to connect with the office, and no one answered the door. The kitchen was listed as fully stocked, and it definitely was not, which really affected our ability to cook dinner. And finally, there were no sheets, blankets or pillows for the pull-out bed. While the location is pretty good, less than a 2-mile walk into the national park, I would say that is the best thing about this place. I would not choose to...

Great location! Super close to the falls river entrance of RMNP. Wonderful beautiful scenery with views of the river and wildlife nearby. If you’re looking for a rustic homey cabin with a kitchenette not too far from RMNP this is the place. It is also only one of the few places with a pack n play for your little one. They also provide a gas grill if you’re in the mood to grill. There’s WiFi but it’s weak and spotty. There are two flat screen tvs with cable channels-one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Few suggestions: 1) they don’t provide any cooking oil or spray or butter but plenty of cooking and eating utensils. We had to get a stick of butter at Safeway. Also no condiments, coffee or tea 2) they provide few toiletries (2 soap bars and shampoo) and did not refill after our first night there. 3) they never seem to be in the office but checking in and checking out was easy and smooth. The map to our cabin and parking spot was a bit confusing

You probably shouldn't go here. It's probably too cool for you. Can you handle a grill with a broken instant light? Can you deal with a grill that has rusted out on the bottom so your butter and oil drip to the ground? No? Then stay away! Those things are true, but what also is true is that this is an amazing venue. We had a cabin overlooking a river, about 3 miles from the entrance to RMNP, but also 5 minutes to a supermarket and also restaurants and shops. This seems to be one of the lesser used entrances, but it was oh so convenient. It's also true that there are elk there basically a hundred yards from your cabin every day. So yeah, you probably don't want to go there 🤣
