We stayed in a king bed Room, Upper floor. Upon arrival we received a friendly and efficient check in. We were handed a map, WiFi code, and the amenities were pointed out to us. ||The Communal areas were welcoming and clean. There was an Open fire in the lobby, with seats, as well as fire pits and seats outside on an upper terrace. There is an indoor pool. Didn’t use it. Tea/coffee and water was available near the lobby. There was a laundrette, small arcade, board game/puzzle area and other spaces to chill. The hotel sold some snacks, microwave items, and gifts. ||Our room was a good size with entrance area and hanging space. We had a sofa in the bedroom, and a super comfy king bed and nice bedding. We had a Large fridge, microwave, large smart TV. A table and chairs for two, iron/board, dressing table/desk with mirror. The lighting and plug access could have been better but it was ok for a few nights. ||The bathroom had a spacious marble counter, large mirror with lights above. The Bath/Shower was a fixed cabin unit, small bath and low shower head. I’m 5ft 7 and had to scooch. We had Excellent water pressure and hot water. The hotel provided nice shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, face cleaning wipes, soap and moisture lotion. The towels were decent, fluffy and large (there was also flannels). There was a regular plug in hairdryer of good quality. ||The Room had a heated/air con unit. It was very cold (Mid Sept) once the sun went down, the heater got the room lovely and warm. The included breakfast was really good, great choice of hot and cold foods, super clean and fresh. The hotel is well located, only a short drive to Estes Park and downtown. ||Overall we felt this hotel was good value for money. It was exceptionally comfortable and well equipped. Our room looked and felt fresh and clean. It’s a rustic place with a mix of new and old. It’s clear the hotel really takes care of everything and we left...
Read moreWe stayed here with a wedding block last weekend. The hotel was nice enough (needs renovations but it's nice for a mountain hotel). We had MANY issues booking under the room block. We had to call 6 separate times to try to get our reservation figured out. The first time we called they would not let us book because the wedding block hadn't been confirmed on their end. The third time we called, the wedding block was good, we asked for a confirmation email for our records and they refused to provide this, they told us that we were on a list. When we asked about pricing they would not give us any details AT ALL about the room rates, and someone eventually told us the room would be free which we found suspicious. We had to call again because other members of the block had mentioned the hotel was booking for multiple nights in a row, when we called back they had us booked for a two night stay even though we only wanted a one night stay. The day of check in we still did not have a confirmation email or any idea the price of the rooms. Some of our family got there early and they tried to charge them $400/night when the wedding block was $200/night. When we got to check in was when we finally figured out the cost of our room rate. Overall booking with this hotel was immensely stressful and we didn't even know if we were going to have a room. We found working with these people extremely frustrating because the staff would just defer to their managers almost every single time we interacted with them, it seems like they need more training or new tools to affectively do their jobs. Would not stay here again, BRIDES: I suggest working to find a different hotel to book with since the logistics of working with this hotel...
Read moreI went up with a group of friends last week and stayed at this hotel. We were very impressed with all the work they have done and the overall atmosphere. First, we were greeted by the very friendly desk attendant Sherman who handled our check in quickly and efficiently all while keeping up a wonderful conversation about our trip. When we went to our rooms, we found everything very clean, the hallways, rooms and common areas all clean, neat and inviting. Everyone said their beds were comfortable and slept well. We loved the huge game room and the room next to it with several tables, TV and business center where we could gather. The breakfast was a bit different than what you find at most hotels but very enjoyable. We really liked the different kind of choices along side some old standards. Jose and Sylvana did an outstanding job of keeping everything filled and clean even with so many people coming through. Again, super friendly and helpful people. There is an upper deck with seating and firepits with some amazing views. Very relaxing after a long day at the wool market. The saltwater pool was another pleasant surprise. It is indoor and heated, clean and plenty of towels. Overall, it was a great girls weekend away and I'll be returning with family next week. This is my new go to hotel in Estes Park! I spoke to the GM Tripp and expressed our appreciation for the changes to this older hotel and his amazing staff but wanted to make sure anyone heading to Estes Park knows. Definitely a great value with...
