Our family stayed in Cabin 24 at Mountain Village on May 22-24 and was an absolute fabulous cabin and is a must to experience. The surrounding mountain and lake views are scenic from the indoors of the cabin. There are other cabins within the development that appear to be similar. Our family created so many great memories on this trip. The furnishings were very upscale. We hung by the fireplace in the evenings and played board games. The cabin also furnishes games as well. There is a fireplace on the outside patio and a jacuzzi as well that was fun. We brought our own food and spirits but also attended the new EMBER Restaurant for their soft opening party within a short walk away at the Estes Park Resort on Friday night and had dinner they're on Saturday evening the first night of their official opening. It was fabulous! There is a marina directly next door that rents various water sports equipment, fishing poles and bicycles of which we did not have time to try out. There was also an e-bike station at the Estes Park Resort that rents electric bikes and also does private tours. We didn't have time to experience this but will make it a point on our next trip. There is also an awesome concrete trail that extends all around the lake from our cabin I believe 3.8 miles and into town if you want. It was scenic and was totally awesome trail that we experienced each morning during our stay. A few steps away there is a spa called QI Lounge located inside the Estes Park Resort. My wife did a therapy there and she said it was the nicest spa she had ever experienced and the facial and massage she received was exceptional. We have been visiting Estes Park almost every year for many years summer and winter and Mountain Village is our new...
Read moreWe recently visited Mountain Village at Estes Park for a wedding there. Unfortunately, our cabin was situated in the middle of a construction zone, and we had a terrible experience. Although the cabin itself was very nice, we were situated in the middle of construction on 3 sides of the cabin and didnât enjoy it at all. I think the person shouldâve been honest when we made the reservation (you are required to choose a specific unit at the time of the reservation). They were hammering, drilling, banging from 8 am to 7 pm Thursday- Saturday of our visit. They initially charged us the full $1000 per night, but were refunded part of the money. We wouldâve left had it not been a family wedding. I believe we were told that it sleeps 8, but it really sleeps 5 comfortably. The occupancy inside says 6.
They are connected to a main hotel. The people on-site were basically uninformed and sort of difficult. They were wearing masks under their noses and I donât remember a screen if COVID safety is important. They call it a resort but that is a stretch. There isnât a pool and it is extremely old and in desperate need of a renovation.
I do not recommend this place. It is way out of line in terms of price/value. Moreover, I couldnât call our stay a vacation! There are many other places that you can visit in the US. I suggest waiting to go here when they have completed their...
Read moreWe stayed here 6 nights as part of an 18-day trip through Colorado. Our primary purposes were 1) do challenging day hikes; 2) cook breakfast and a multi-course dinner in the evenings. In short: this home is outstanding, luxurious, perfectly located for our hikes, has a great kitchen, nice hot tub, and superb layout for 2 couples. We are already planning a repeat visit in January.
This home is part of a master-planned âresortâ community. The design is almost too ideal for words: roomy 2-bedroom loft with big picture windows, one master downstairs, another master upstairs. The bathrooms were spacious with double sinks. The shower(s) was good. The kitchen was fantastic: nice gas oven/stove and vent hood; great dishwasher; good selection of utensils and cookware. There was a regular AND pod coffee maker here (although we brought our own). There is a grill and a large, clean hot tub on the deck which are both covered and well shaded in the evenings. There is a sitting area on the deck and there are indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces. Really, quite luxurious, and hard to imagine anything you could improve. Also, we communicated with management several times and they were super-responsive.
This is pretty much the perfect vacation...
