Just like all hotels and motels we are all going to find little things to nitpick and complain about. I'm guilty myself but at lot of people take these little issues blow them up as big as they can just for attention, just to hear themselves talk, just to feel better about themselves because their own life is too negative to share so they like to point the finger at others. (you get my point).. Here is my input, I sold my house unexpectedly and have been temporarily living in hotels for almost 2 months now while looking for land to purchase. The first 2 weeks I stayed at 5 different hotels / motels. They were all in different towns also. Each one of the 5 had issues.. Door wouldnt close completely or lock.. Old dirty used bed sheets and pillow cases. Shower doesnt work and tub has no stopper for bathing. Moldy walls and cockroaches everywhere.. Broken furniture and microwave that exploded sometime in the past. Window blinds won't close and window won't open. I could keep going but again I think you see my point. It was big problem after another big problem no matter where I went unless I wanted to fork out some larger bills and end up at some place where the baggage handlers can't even pronounce their own names. I finally made my way back down to Eureka and against my better judgement I decided to give this place a chance. The rooms are kept up much better. Of course there is minor issues here like a crack in a door frame or the tub faucet dripping but those are not really worth complaining about. Those are things that you should expect to see at a hotel / Motel. Anyway the rooms are cleaner, housekeeping keeps up with their daily load, staff is very friendly and more than willing to assist you with any issues you may have. Pricing is par for the course. They are pet friendly and have cable TV in every room. Can park your vehicle right in front of your room door and window just in case you're paranoid but you won't have any reasons to be. Tons of restaurants and stores to check out within a couple miles. After spending that first night here, I only moved one more time and that was only 3 Doors Down. I have been at America's Best Inn approximately a month and a half now and I have no intentions on going to any other hotels or motels unless they are owned by the same people that own this one.

Read moreI booked here with a coworker so we would be able to get to work during a flood and regretted it. For starters if you do have to stay here book with priceline or some other online site because if you call they will quote you a higher price ($15 dollars more a night) and deny that there is a lower price available for a room. The good? The bed was clean and didnt smell and the bathroom, while the upgraded tile was sloppily done, was clean and bearable. The WIFI was good. The bad? Alot. For starters the room smelled musty and moldy. We woke up with stuffy noses and sinus headaches. All of my belongings smelled of it for two days after being back home. The mini refrigerator was very old and sitting on a small plastic pallet on the floor. Not to mention the refrigerator was actually a freezer and froze everything in it solid. The toilet wouldn't fill with water properly in order for us to flush it and after calling someone to the room 3 times to fix it (said they did but they didnt) we just started using the little ice bucket to fill the back tank ourselves. The smoke detector was missing and had been ripped of the ceiling and not replaced. Was all around kinda crappy.
My friend ended up booking one more night in town at Super 8 next door, which was about $4 more a night and it was SO much nicer. No smell, completely finished and didnt have that dumpy feel. I was really kicking myself for not just going there in the first place and picking the cheapest one. Super 8 the best option...
Read moreVery Friendly and personable staff, however it appears that the Management is not taking care of the hotel. The general appearance and lack of proper cleaning/maintenace is very obvious. Room smelled kind of musty/mildewy, toilet would not flush very well as was awfully slow, appeared to be blocked or clogged. Shower water faucet was in need of replacement as it was very difficult to get a comfortable water temp. It was either too hot or ice cold. Bathroom sink and faucet were drty and rusty looking and needs to be replace, The carpeting appears to have never been cleaned and appeared to be dirty and wore out. Towels and washcloths looked dingy gray instead of white, even had appeared to be black grease stains on them. The furniture and beds appear to be very dated and in bad shape. Almost like the quality of garage sale items. Exterior of th building is in need of some serious maintenace and paint. The pool was in very sad condition. Ive seen cleaner water in a river or pond than in that pool, however the frogs appeared to like it alot! With this hotel in very close proximity of the Six Flags Amusement Park I would think that this hotel would be better maintained. I would suugest staying here if it was your only...
