Read moreThis is the absolute worst hotel for what is normally expected and I, for one, will never stay here again. Upon arrival the first thing you have to do is dodge all the droppings from the geese that roamed the property because they don't seem to clean the droppings up. The entrance and check in had a crisp appearance but as we were arriving a lady was requesting additional towels for their room of four for which there was only one towel supplied. Before heading to our room we had decided to stay an additional night and were charged an additional $10 beyond the price paid for the initially booked evening, that seems to be a rip-off. When we got to the room I liked the layout of the small kitchenette area, the one bed, the couch, and the desk area. After being there for less than 10 minutes the front cover of the air conditioner heater unit fell off and although we were able to put it back on, it did not stay on and even after advising the front desk of the issue, no one ever came to fix it. As for the microwave, it is sufficient to heat something up but not large enough to put a takeout box inside. My biggest complaint would be that of the bathroom as well because my husband is disabled and has balance issues yet this hotel offered no ADA bathrooms nor did they have any type of seat to put into the bath in order for him to safely take a shower or bathe. A minor issue in the bathroom is that the toilet paper is way across from the toilet on the wall instead of being located close to where you're sitting in order to reach the paper. The hot water was sufficient and the hair dryer worked. The room was supplied with an iron and ironing board. When we got up the next morning, we were preparing to leave for our running for the day and left the do not disturb sign on the door before we were ready to leave which was about 10:30 a.m. and before any normal checkout time. After our first order of business out and about the town we came back to find that our trash had not been emptied nor had our room been serviced so as I questioned the front desk they made us aware that because we had the sign out on the door while we were getting dressed they never came back to the room to service it and I find this appalling because most room attendants start with the overnight stays or checkouts for the day and will check the overnighters once they are done with the first group but that never happened for us. I requested that someone change our trash and provide us with clean towels but we were informed that they do not have 24-hour maid service. This was requested around 3:00 or 3:30 p.m. so it should have easily been accommodated. It was advertised that they had a continental breakfast so to say but I wouldn't even call it that. The breakfast that they served was in a takeout container and was merely a warm serving of yogurt with a bagel and cream cheese and a bottle of Sunny D. I remember the carpet was quite dirty and needed to be replaced or cleaned. Another thing that comes to mind is the elevator that took us up to the third floor to our room. When the elevator car came to a stop the brakes were extremely loud and screeching, which could be a sign of an imminent malfunction. I would suggest to whatever departments or authorities that oversee hotels make an immediate visit to this...
