Luxury Inn & Suites Forrest City — Hotel in Forrest City

This place was filthy! The first room they gave me hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was still unmade from whoever was there previously. I went to the office to get a new room and this time somebody else came out of the adjoining apartment. The gentleman that came out asked me how the bed got dirty. I told him I didn’t know as I had just checked in. He said he didn’t know who messed up. I said I just arrived here I haven’t even had time to mess up the bed. He then said to me that he didn’t know who messed up the bed, maybe it was me, maybe it was somebody else, how could he know? Talk about gaslighting? At this point, my level of frustration was very high. He finally offered me another room. I went to the new room and that bed was not a cleaned room, at least not the kind that I am accustomed to! The room (like the other) stunk of cigarette smoke and body odor. I had to wash all of the clothes that I had on and wash my hair because everything stunk from the room. I had tried laying on top of the blankets when I first went in, but it just stunk so badly I just couldn’t. At that point it was about 1 o’clock in the morning, and I just went to sleep in my car. I had a pet with me that I’d left in the room when I went to the car I tried to nap for a short time, before going in getting my animal and getting in the car and driving to a rest, stop down the road to sleep. In hindsight I think that this hotel is one of illegal commerce such as drugs and or sex. Unless that’s your trade, I do not recommend this place at all. RUN FROM THIS PLACE! I booked this hotel on Priceline, thinking it looked nice enough for a single night's stay - I was wrong. I am here now in a room that is dingy and dirty, to the point where I don't want to touch anything. My 8 month old daughter and I had allergic reactions to the ridiculously strong air freshener they used to give the room the veneer of cleanliness and needed medication and baths before we felt even slightly normal again. She is finally napping, but I am still wheezing due to the allergic reaction triggering my asthma. Although this place advertises free WiFi, I can't connect to it because the username and password given by the front desk lady are incorrect. Despite multiple requests, she has not given us a correct one yet. The air conditioning also barely works, which is problematic given that it is incredibly hot during the summer in Arkansas. Despite the risk to my daughter's and my own health, both Priceline and this garbage hotel have refused our requests for a refund. A last minute rate at surrounding hotels is prohibitively expensive without getting a refund from this one.

The one thing this awful establishment has going for it is that it has HBO, so we can watch Game of Thrones tonight before sleeping the fewest number of hours possible before getting back on the road. I'm not even going to bother trying the breakfast they offer, as I'm sure it'll be as piss poor as the rest of the hotel...

We had stopped at a Quality Inn and inquired about the rate for the night. It was too much for one night. I told him that I saw a luxury Inn ad and asked where that was located. He said it is right down the road and he said you don't want to stay at that motel. It is nasty and not clean. He tried to steer us toward a Red Roof Inn which sat next to the Quality Inn. I told him we had stopped at that one and I didn't like the surrounding area. He told us to go to the next exit and look there for a Luxury Inn. We decided that this guy was full of crap. We drove down to the Luxury Inn that I saw in the ad. We asked to see the room and it was clean and nicely done. The rate was great and the room was clean. We told the guy in the office that we almost listened to the guy at the Quality Inn. When we told him what the guy said he told us the guy was mad because he wouldn't sell his motel to him. He was upset for this reason. I'm so glad we didn't listen. You will need to see for yourself. This is a nice motel for the price. We were in room 209 which was on the ground floor.
