We Thought this would be nice place to stay in Fresno, not too far from airport so decided to call the place for booking. Marty answered the call, told him we are getting married in that day do you have any offers. He said no offers but will upgrade us to suite for the price of king. We felt that was great gesture so book the room , gave all information including credit card.
We went there super tired after all the procedure and stuff. Told the girl about our booking. She said you have king size room booked not suite. I said we did booking over the phone with Marty, and he said he will be there when we come to hotel. She said I am manager, Marty isn't working today, this is what you have take it or leave. She said he forgot to put a note on your booking. I said how come we booked and gave all over information. She said I can't do anything about it, All suites are booked. If you want I can check you in at king or you can find another hotel. We asked can we talk to someone she said. No I am manager and nothing can be done. She gave me card of general manager after I insisted on talking to someone senior.
At the end of it I was more angry on that manager girl than guy who made a mistake. Also I don't think he made a mistake we booked it over the phone, there is no need for leaving note and stuff. I guess they gave it to someone who paid more for the room. There was another person from staff who made an effort to call other hotel for availability but manager blamed us for some reason and who very unprofessional the way she talked. Like she has no social skills, no apologies, no eye contact, she didn't even gave her full attention to the issue on her hand. What's the use of having manager who can resolve the issue or have respectful conversation?

Read moreIn general, this hotel was good for short stay with convenient location. A lot of stores, restaurants are within 3 - 4 miles radius. The facility was decorated tastefully, especially the lobby - using warm tones. The cleanliness was above average. My accessible room on 3rd floor was spacious. I give 4 stars for the facilities. Breakfast offering and employee services earned 3 stars with lots of room for improvements. The restroom door at the breakfast area need to change the lock. A very easy task for maintenance. Why does the lock could only go halfway? The front desk told me about a trick to close it properly. There was no note to tell the customers about that trick. They probably expected the customers to figure out by themselves. Other small things that only need a quick fix from maintenance. But management seemed not care or not informed by employees. As already mentioned, employees seemed going through a slow motion movie. Breakfast offering was limited compared to other BW locations. The attendant was not around - hiding in a room most of the time. Tables not cleaned. Trash can overflowed. Food not refilled until my husband called out. She was more like a robot, no energy - slow motion. Restroom door could not be closed properly. Did not look clean. By 9am, it seemed she stopped working on breakfast items even thought the close time was 10am. Lighting in bathroom was dim most of the time. There was only one ceiling light and the front desk said it had to be on for a while before it got brighter. This never happened during our 2 days stay. It was on 48 hours and never got any better.
